The Landing Zone Grill is proud to serve our community and we strive to provide great service. We take great pride in our food which is cooked to order for each and every customer order. Each item has its own cook time and some can take longer than others. On a busy night we may take a little longer to get your order ready, but know your order is being prepared special for you. So sit back enjoy the atmosphere and some great conversation. We will be happy to provide you with a drink and some homemade pork rinds while your order is being prepared.

We come mainly for the gator bites and the homemade butterfinger poke cake (2 boxes to go because my husband and I won’t share lol). The food has always been great and the attentiveness of the staff is great as well. I have a friend from Seattle who comes to visit and we always have to bring her for the gator bites. The Atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming. The owner is great and will check to see how things are when he sees you. We tried their new breakfast menu and the portion sizes are large. I got the breakfast bowl and its huge, I had to get a box to take half home. My husband got the steak breakfast and it filled him up. Also tried the pancakes. You can taste the vanilla in them making them slightly sweet which I didn’t mind, loved them. Its a smaller restaurant and it never disappoints us when we come.

Ate lunch today. It is as short staffed but we had no problems. Food was hot and delicious.
I had hamburger steak with onions, mushrooms and gravy, homemade onion rings, steamed broccoli and Texas toast. Husband had fried catfish, onion rings, pinto beans and hush puppies

I haven’t been here since the name change and remodel. The fish and shrimp tacos are pretty good as well the cod sandwich. The service was good this time. The last few times here it was abysmal it’s good to see they are fixing some problems. Also the forcing you to use the lunch menu at 1pm which has very little variety of options really sucks.

Found this Gem in Whitwell. Can sit on the board and watch the jumpers land. That’s why it was called the Landing Zone. Burgers were amazing. Onion Rings worth the calories. Great Staff. Bring your appetite!

The good – We arrived right atunch time rush. Our waitress was nice a day let us know it would be a bit before our food got to us. We were okay with waiting. Appetizer came out fresh and hot while we waited.
The bad – ordered Mahi Mahi. Plate arrived and fish was cold with no sauce. Little red potatoes came out pretty much the size of our fist. More like a baked potato. We like baked potato just asked for butter and sour cream. They were out of sour cream. Asked about sauce, they ran out of it but because the fish was already cooked the decided to serve it dry. Fish was burned on the bottom half. Lettuce used as garnish was wilt and brown. Probably the worst Mahi Mahi he’s ever ate.
Cat fish dinner was okay, Cole slaw was warm and just not very good. Fries were cold.
Waitress did offer us a $10 gift card literally after we had walked out but chances of us eating there again are zero.

Outstanding food when we went. The waitress made a point to tell use the buffet was closed even though there was a lot of food on it. I appreciated this since other places try and pass old food off a lot. Battered items appear to be hand battered. Would recommend.
