Land Ho oozes Cape Cod, and it’s filled with locals (not just tourists). It’s very casual with a large bar and a cosy seating area. Service can be a bit ‘brisk’ especially when it’s busy, but this adds to the charm. Our recent lunch there mostly met expectations, although I must admit a previous dinner there was better, food-wise. The kale soup was excellent and well worth trying. But the cape cod Reuben disappointed slightly. The fried fish was a bit soggy and had a mushy texture. Otherwise the food was solid. Overall a good place for a casual bite.

Pahlease! This place is a landmahk on Cape Cod. The king of the Quahog, the sommelier of signs! Patches appointed appropriately aaaaand ahplenty.
I just moved back home after 9 years. This is one of those places that’s centering. It gets in your soul and makes you whole.
You’ll get it. The food is wicked good. But the people are who you wished you spent your entire life with.

This is an historical place in Orleans and indies is full of signs, very interesting and characteristic. Service is good. Food is OK…. I personally don’t like fried food so this remove 80% of the menu. The only other option is broil. The taste was ok, not much flavor and the presentation is basic. I have been here 10 years ago and my memory of the food was much better. Good for drinking beers and talk with friends but not recommended for a formal dinner or new food experience.

It was our first time going there and we felt like we were regulars.

Land Ho is a staple for the locals in Orleans. It’s a tight, communal bar and restaurant with people of all ages present. Kind staff, though expect a wait at the hostess stand with the size of the crowd they draw. This dish wasn’t my favorite, but the countless times I have gone before did not disappoint. Relatively quick food and solid dessert as well. Great seafood, and phenomenal indoor decorations. Will be back.

The fish and chips were a generous portion with crispy chips (French fries) and a well made fired fish. The Diet Coke tasted a little off though. I liked the interior of the place but it was quite warm inside. Otherwise a god place to get a decent lunch.

If you’re looking for a place that has good chowder then this is it. Probably the best New England clam chowder I’ve ever had. My wife also enjoyed a nice bowl of tomato basil soup with a grilled cheese sandwich. Her soup was a little cool but my chowder was perfect. Probably because of the time of the year it was not very noisy on the inside, which is a nice feature. The place has a very tavern-like feel to it.
Well, the chowder is still excellent. I tried the stuff quahog clam and I don’t think I would ever order it again. It was dry and lacked any kind of flavor at all. It didn’t seem to have very much clam meat in it at all.

Full disclosure, we picked this place because of the name, but we’re charmed by the hometown atmosphere and enjoyed all of the fried seafood you could imagine would recommend getting the crabcake and the clam chowder. Those were our favorites that we ordered!

Love the atmosphere of this place. Nothing over the top, very inviting. Cape Cod Ruben was delicious and the stuffed clam was absurdly large yet still very tasty
