The braised beef was authentic and amazing. However the tofu was too bland and the Spinach was way too salty. I will be back and try other dishes next time. Oh, and beware of the hot sauce, it is really really hot.

I usually have outstanding meals here. Usually. The egg flower soup was below average and bland. Smelled odd, like yesterday’s soup was added to it. My bell pepper beef had the toughest beef I’ve encountered. It was difficult to chewed up The lo mein was just too salty. They also lacked anything other than noodles. Same for the fried rice. I’ve never had anything bad here before. Until tonight.

Our family was traveling all over California and ended up in Bakersfield right around the storm time. We looked up Chinese food and saw that Lam’s had good reviews. Upon arrival I was a little scared because it looks like nothing special on the outside. However food was absolutely awesome, and I enjoyed that there was no music to interrupt our conversations. Again, the food was just very good! And service was great, too. Thank you for such an awesome experience!

If you want great Chinese food for a great price, Lam’s is the perfect option! For only $10, you can get a big plate of delicious food, and they have lots of delicious options. During my last time at Lam’s, I had the Orange Chicken, so this time I had the Sweet and Sour Pork, and I highly recommend both! Also, its close proximity to Bakersfield College makes it the perfect spot for a quick lunch or dinner before class. All of these have made Lam’s my new go-to Chinese restaurant!

Been coming here since I was young. My grandma used to get takeout from them when they were in the little building Nextdoor. Best eggflour soup in town. Love the kung pao chicken & lo mein. The owners are very friendly as well. We’ll keep coming back.
