Looking for coffee in Silver Spring and ended up getting a whole lot more. The waitress recommended goat and the veggie platter which was a lot of food. There was about a pound of meat served on the injera. The veggies were really nice especially the chickpea dish. I don’t remember having this before at other Ethiopian restaurants. Really loved this!! I may try to make myself and fail miserably. I also liked the thick mouth feel of the coffee (reason I went in the first place). It was delicious. Also looks like a fun place to spend the evening with a live band. I hope to try that at some point.

I’ve visited this Ethiopian restaurant many times, and the food is always consistent and delicious! I especially love the Fiyel Tibs, and the Meskel Beal vibes make every visit special. Great service and amazing flavors — keep up the wonderful work!

Terrible food. They gave us cold injera and cold kocho. We asked if the next order of injera could be warmed up, but they brought it out cold again. This place is definitely hit or miss sometimes it’s good, but other times the food is just bad. The customer service is the same way. They act like it’s a problem when you politely bring up an issue.

I visited the restaurant with my friends, but unfortunately, the customer service was disappointing. We ordered Godin Tibs, yet the meat was not properly cooked or roasted. After requesting for it to be re-roasted, the waitress returned and claimed it was fresh meat—a new serving. However, it was clear to us that it was the same meat we had sent back, just roasted longer. She kept insisting otherwise, which made the situation uncomfortable.
I understand that the cooking is not her responsibility, and she shouldn’t have to take the blame for someone else’s mistake or argue with customers. I do believe she was simply trying to protect the business, but overall, the experience left a negative impression.
