First time experience, soooo great!
We were seated at the bar in the boardwalk dining area. Fantastic food, drinks and service!
I had the fish tacos, outstanding and waaay bigger than I expected.
My husband (celiacs and vegan) had the cauliflower wings, amazing flavor!
We tried the hero work cocktail, tasty and refreshing on a hot day.
They even have a secret menu.
Had a great time, we will return!

I had an incredible experience dining at the Lamplight Lounge! The salad with goat cheese, persimmons, homemade croutons, and squash with added chicken was so delicious! The drinks were outstanding and the best cocktails I’ve had in Disneyland. I would recommend booking an online reservation ahead of time due to it getting quite busy. The location is right on paradise pier with a gorgeous view of the park and waterfront. The bartenders were so friendly and down to earth. Would definitely be back for the amazing food and drink, outstanding service, and great atmosphere!

My most recent visit to Lamplight Lounge was… still good, but perhaps a little less magical than I would have liked. For starters, we had issues with the walk-in waitlist. We had a party of 7, and even though we were trying to enter as soon as the waitlist opened, we could not queue for a party of 7 on the app. We were, however, able to queue for a party of 3 and 4. We then asked if we could combine those tables to seat 7, which we could. So I don’t understand why it was so difficult to queue for 7 people on the app. I am, however, grateful to the staff for making it happen.

This was also my first time sitting upstairs instead of in the downstairs Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining area. I wish there was a separate Yelp page for the downstairs dining area, because my experience there has been 5 stars every time. A notable difference in these two seating areas is menu variety. Unlike its downstairs counterpart, the upstairs Lamplight Lounge lacks an entree section in its menu. In lieu of this, they have the lobster nachos, a dish that is exclusive to upstairs. I thought the lobster nachos could have been better. The flavors were good, but the chips were a bit stale.

The drinks, on the other hand, were good as always. I always get the Fun Wheel cocktail, which is colorful and delightful. Mostly everyone else remarked that they liked their drinks as well.

Service was.. Ok. A little less peppy than I was used to, but decent still.

We had a nice view of the Pixar Pal-A-Round from our table upstairs, but honestly, I think I prefer sitting downstairs on the Boardwalk. You still get a nice view of the ferris wheel downstairs, the ambiance is a little livelier, and you get to eat real meals.

If there’s one place that you should visit in Disney’s California adventure this is the place. The lineups are incredibly long. It’s very difficult to get into, with your best bet to make an online dining reservation and take no matter what time they give you.
If you get a chance to sit at the bar, that is the best place ever, because the bartenders are so friendly, especially Chris and Lila. At the bar, you’ll get a chance to see all the drinks that they make and don’t forget there is actually a hidden drink menu which the bartenders will make drinks from based on what you like if you tell them, I guess it’s sort of their secret hidden menu?
As for the food selection, the menu is very limited, but the prime rib is a stand out. It is delicious, has a good portion size and it’s a great value at $40. I would personally avoid the beers since you can get beers anywhere and go for the mixed cocktails. The wine selection also is not badly priced. For this visit, I ended up with a bottle of rosé.
There is also a secret dining room for groups of five or more, but you have to request it only when you get there and only if it’s available.

Apparently its 2 different restaurants. Downstairs dining the first day. There’s no nacho lobsters down there. Food was good, it just takes awhile to get. Which im fine with if you keep up on the drinks. Which they didnt. Finished my ordered beverage, my water and my coffee. Sat empty the whole meal until we got our check. 2nd day did the upstairs dining. Lobster nachos were great, and service was better, but you can’t order coffee upstairs. Even though its on the menu. Terrible engagement anniversary experience.

Great restaurant to escape from the heavy foot-traffic of the Disney Parks. The seasonal donuts were a hit for brunch. The Brunch Burger was recommended, but I found it to be a bit underwhelming. The bun was stale and the burger patty was overcooked. It was stilly tasty, but for a burger in the mid-$20 range it wasn’t worth it to me.

The service was excellent and overall this place a great option for full-service dining in the park.

That Food was really good flavor! We got the chicken and the hamburger. The mashed potatoes tasted amazing, the reason I gave 4 stars was cause I felt like you loose so you your full serving. For example for potatos with my chicken and you get like 3 oz of potato’s. Where did the rest of the potato go. But the food tasted amazing!!

Wow. This restaurant was not the experience we were expecting. We were seated outside despite our best attempts to get seated indoors and 2 words…overstimulating and loud. Repetitive elevator type music playing so loud we could barely hear each other’s conversation. Then…we sat at our table for at least 15 minutes with zero service. No drink service, nothing. That is until Izzy, a person who was not the waitperson normally allocated to our table, saved the day. Izzy was warm, friendly, responsive and made our dining experience really great. It’s such a shame because the person who then took the check and received the tip (not him) was none of these things. We tried to find Izzy before we left to personally thank him but he must have been on a break.
Food was absolutely exceptional and despite the atmosphere and initial service hiccup, we would return.

We did the Boardwalk outside dining option which requires a separate reservation and has a different menu. Note that this could give you one of many seating types depending on what is available when you arrive. Some parties get high tops or bar seating, while some get standard tables or couches which could very much affect your experience. I didn’t feel like the drinks were all too special but did enjoy the lobster nachos which were plenty of food for 2 or 3 people. I would probably skip doing the outdoor dining again as we were still in the sun and kept hearing the Incredicoaster launch announcement every 30 seconds during our meal.

LACKLUSTER LOUNGE

Service was spotty and we were being rushed to finish/pay at 8pm when we had a 7:30 reservation. I was even told the soda machine was closed when I asked for a refill of my Diet Coke at 7:50. Server did find me a Diet Coke when I pushed back…

The lobster nachos are super overrated, as the chips were so stale I only ate the toppings.

Gf daughter’s cauliflower was soggy likely due to oil in fryer not being hot enough.

Since you can no longer dine there for WOC, it’s not worth making a res.
