This place is probably my favorite diner. Service is always amazing. Food is soooo good and they give you a lot! I mean the potato skins are the size of my forearm. Definitely recommend. Plus, it’s a big place so plenty of seating for those busy hours.

Food is good and consistent! Also their service is top notch and they take care of their customers. For example, my GF recently tried their beef pot pie special (it looked amazing) however it kinda tasted like apple pie – which was a little weird and not at all what was expected. Not sure if that was the intent but after talking to the server they took it off the bill and that’s excellent customer service!
All of the classics are excellent and they offer really good specials. Will be there this weekend!

We went for dinner on a Thursday night. The diner is spacious and nicely updated, yet it still retains that classic New Jersey diner charm. The food and service were both very good. Our server was working hard and stayed attentive, even as the place got busy. While we were seated right away, there was a wait by the time we left.
I had the French onion soup and the corned beef sandwich—both were delicious. The portions were very generous, and the French fries were especially good. My wife had the turkey dinner, which she enjoyed, though she wasn’t a fan of the garlic mashed potatoes.

All right, here you go. I’m on a chicken croquette KIK with mashed potatoes and gravy which really should be a staple for a diner menu and Lampost diner. You hit it out of the park the mixture you use for your croquette the chicken the inside was so nice and tender not dry. the outside was crisp just right over a beautiful bed of mashed potatoes and it looks to me as you used red skin potatoes, which are fantastic for mashed potatoes and the flavor was perfect consistency of potatoes was perfect and gravy. Amazing. The vegetables were great salad. I got with the homemade Russian dressing, which is a lifetime favor for me and the bread baskets and the amount of food that I got for the price and mind you food is expensive nowadays, but I got two meals out of that and then there’s my server we’ve had her before her name is Alla. What a wonderful person she is and you know she’s an experienced server and when you ask her for something she doesn’t give you any issues at all and she moves quick and she has a good timing. She knows exactly when to come back to the table means a lot nowadays that’s old-school service and Lampost diners a busy diner and actually the other servers are good and they operate like a well oiled machine every part of that restaurant I’ve been to a lot of diners in South Jersey. I still have a few more rounds to make the ones I haven’t been to in a long time lamb post is at the top of the list and owning a diner and managing a diner is hard work keep it up guys. My wife and I love it there. God bless you.

A trip to New Jersey culminated with a reservation at Lamp Post Diner & Bakery, an updated take on your traditional New Jersey hometown diner. In addition to the large and varied menu offerings, this diner also makes their own bakery and dessert items. We visited on a Friday night, and the diner had several patrons but plenty of available seating space.
During our visit, we tried the following items:
– Disco Fries
– Complimentary Breadbasket (that included cornbread)
– Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup
– Tomato Soup
– Breast of Chicken Parmigiana
– Lasagna
– “Best in town” Cheesecake
All the food items were of quality, and tasteful; our favorites were the Disco Fries, Lasagna, and “Best in town” Cheesecake. Starting with the delicious Disco Fries, a New Jersey staple, we quickly realized that the portions for all items were plentiful, one entrée was certainly enough for two people to share.
Service was personable, friendly, and fast, with items coming out hot in order they were ordered. Our waitress even gifted us with a disco dance when we ordered the Disco Fries. Lamp Post Diner & Bakery is a family place where you feel welcome, with delicious and varied menu offerings, affordable prices, great service, all in a beautiful classic yet modern setting.

Dont waste your money here……Ordered lunch with the work team. $15 for a meatball parm and it has 3 meatballs on the entire roll. Half the roll doesnt even have enough meat to make it a full sandwich. Then the container its in became more like a soup bowl for the soggy bread to get nice and mushy.

I ordered their turkey burger and it was the best I’ve ever had at any restaurant! Usually when you order a turkey burger from a restaurant it tastes like they’ve compressed saw dust together and added a little salt and pepper for flavor. This turkey burger was seasoned perfectly, it wasn’t dry and I didn’t need to cover it with ketchup or mustard to eat it. The next time I’m back visiting family and I will be sure to get by turkey burger fix taken care of here. Definitely recommend.

We recently visited Lamp Post Diner and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant was very clean and well-appointed, and the bathrooms were spotless. Despite the busy atmosphere, we were seated within the estimated time range, and the server was incredibly friendly and helpful. She clearly cared about her work, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
The food also exceeded our expectations. Everything from the coffee and cookies and cream milkshake to the French toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, and bacon was delicious. We also tried the special of the day, the Tex Mex Burrito, which was deep-fried and filled with eggs, corn, black beans, peppers, onions and sausage, smothered in cheese with a side of potatoes. For dessert, we opted for the Italian rum cake and mango cheesecake, and both were delectable.
I was impressed by the extensive menu, and based on what other patrons received, it’s clear that the restaurant prepares all their dishes exceptionally well. Furthermore, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a 10% discount valid Monday through Wednesday from 6 am to 11 am, excluding holidays. Overall, our experience was excellent, and we look forward to returning to Lamp Post Diner soon.

Decent portions and decent prices. Nice variety as well. I had a chicken parm, I subbed the pasta for potatoes and green beans. Lobster bisque soup was a nice starter. You have to try the Oreo cheesecake. Just wonderful
