Reviews
The menu is varied and dishes are executed quite well the chicken, lamb and goat were all tender and made with high quality meat.
The spinach chaat was incredible! Better than Rasika and the fancy NYC spots. Tandoori paneer dish was also quite good.
Check out the tangri chicken kebabs, lamb chops and fish. Curries were all excellent and I wish I took a picture of the menu so I could recommend the dishes we ate. The waiter, Vraj, made great recommendations and customized the dishes to our taste.
The orange kulfi and apricot dessert with ice cream were a perfect way to end the meal. I’ve never had an Indian dessert like this and it was wonderful.
This place also had banquet party space that looks like it can fit 80+ people.
BYOB
Spacious, elegant, and comfortably hosts 100–110 guests with an amazing bar area.
Loved the authentic Indian food, plus Jain and Swaminarayan options are available.
Beautiful stage setup and great ambience—total main-character vibes
Highly recommend for any celebration
BUT, the buffet selection? ALMOST A JOKE today —I came, I looked — I actually walked out.
Used to have great Tandoori Chicken, or these White Chicken pieces — GONE – now it’s Costco-Style Spring Rolls. AND — “Teriyaki Chicken Wings” — what, is this Domino’s Chicken Wings now?
They used to have Goat Curry—now the last 2 times it’s replaced with — “Egg Curry” — c’mon.
NICE men run this place so I’m being as fair as I can. Hence ratings for atmosphere and service — but I won’t go back here for a month or so. I hope —they change the buffet back to how it was. BANQUETS? Honestly – if that’s their new business—– “spring rolls” and “chicken wings” —not a good reason too throw an Indian themed banquet here.
If you’re in the mood for an exceptional Indian lunch experience, look no further than Shagun Palace. Their lunch buffet is a true feast for both the eyes and the palate.
From the moment you walk in, the vibrant ambiance sets the tone for a wonderful meal. The buffet spread is impressive, featuring an array of traditional Indian dishes that cater to every taste. The flavors are authentic and meticulously crafted, offering a perfect balance of spices and freshness.
The standout dishes include their rich, creamy butter chicken, perfectly spiced lamb curry, and a delightful array of vegetarian options like the fragrant paneer tikka and the hearty chana masala. The naan bread is always warm and fluffy.
The service is friendly and attentive, ensuring that your dining experience is smooth and enjoyable. The staff is always ready to offer recommendations and make sure that you have everything you need. Special sought out to Robert and Niharika. They were very proactive and super friendly.
Whether you’re a long-time fan of Indian cuisine or new to it, Shagun Palace’s lunch buffet is a must-visit. It’s a fantastic way to sample a wide range of dishes in a welcoming and vibrant setting. Don’t miss out on this culinary gem!
They seem to have a buffet for lunch and a banquet hall attached. The anquet hall looked great.
The food is very mediocre, and the chicken pakora tasted very bad spices, and chicken was not binding together. See the picture.
The chicken biryani tasted just like a mix and not a good taste at all.
I’m definitely not returning back.
Regarding food, their Chicken Dum Biryani is tye best and Ive not tasted this good a Dum Biryani in recent times.
Their roti was really well cooked, puffy, and soft and leas chewy. It was delicious.
We request this management to open up a new branch in Connecticut.
All the best !!
