The food? Incredible. The ribeye steak with mushrooms was perfection, and adding the shrimp took it over the top. We also tried the pizza, and it was fantastic — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care.
But the heart of this place is the owners. Lamberto and his wife Christina were so genuinely welcoming, you’d think you were longtime friends stopping by for dinner. Their kindness and hospitality made the whole experience feel special.
Amazing food, a beautiful historic setting, and owners who make you feel like family — Columbus is lucky to have this gem. I can’t wait to go back.
As for what we had the spinach dip (14.99) and the charcuterie board (14.99). Both were done well.
We also had no problems with our entrees. The 12 ounce Ribeye (30.99) was tender and moist even when done medium well and had fresh potato wedges. The Seafood Spiedini (23.99 had al dente pasta with plump jumbo shrimp and chunks of flaky salmon in between, all with a nice chargrilled flavor.
The only problem we had was the meatballs for the Spaghetti Polpette (14.99). It reminded us of canned meatballs.
Service was excellent and attentive, our server even gave us glass carafes of water as we were drinking a lot!.
When we left at 5pm. Parking lot was pretty full.
It was serendipitous for me and my friends to come to this restaurant. Luckily this is a place that we would gladly come back to if we were back again in the area.
While driving to New Braunfels for a river trip, we found this adorable place to try out! So glad we stopped!!
I saw “Make a Reservation” on Google, so I did, but it was not needed at 12:30 on a Wednesday afternoon. We were seated next to two other tables in our room. There are multiple rooms with seating.
The cocktails & wine are a bit pricey, so we stuck to water. Very good water actually, with lemon. Perfect.
We were served delicious warm bread with an awesome garlic butter prior to ordering our meals.
They had just ran out of the daily special, but the pasta looked really good so I asked for a bowl of angel hair with their lemon garlic white wine sauce and WOW!!! The amount of flavor that they pack into that sauce is amazing. Absolutely delicious. You get hit initially with the tang from the lemon, then the subtle fragrant garlic. I added some parm cheese and it was splendid.
The service is a little slow, but that may just be the leisurely small town! Regardless, we will be back when in the area.
