If you are American or no Mexican, you have to know this is a good place to eat real Mexican and traditional food.
You should try a consomé an Barbacoa tacos, campechanos is a good option and green sauce.
Also you can order huitlacoche quesadillas or hongos or my favorite is papa con queso. You will love it.
Also the aguas frescas are very fresh and flavored with real fruit.
And no less important is the cafe de olla. Try it and you will want to come every Sunday here.

This is the best place in Sacramento for Mexican food and it doesn’t need this review to share that. Everything on the menu isn’t just good, it’s packed with flavor, served with good portions, and relatively cheap in today’s economy. And now since they’ve expanded into a second dining room, they even have enough seating without losing the charm of their original size.

DO NOT EAT HERE!
The lady at the register overcharged for the food. She over charged us $20 and purposely did not give a receipt . She she randomly rung up the total, she did not look at an itemized receipt. We got 1 nacho, 1 chilaquiles, and 2 horchatas and she charged us $50. Be careful with the place. I guess it was slow so she charged whatever she wanted. SCAM!!!! Avoid at all costs or make sue they charge you the correct amount.

The food is phenomenal and the people are really nice. I had the chilaquiles and the flavor was next level delicious. They have real deal tall boy guanabana and other fruit drinks. It’s also not expensive.

Best horchata in Sac. Got a barbacoa burrito and it was bony enough that I had to be careful about chewing but I’m hoping it was just bad luck. It was otherwise really good!

$15 per lb on Barbocoa on the weekends! It comes with salsa and onions and cilantro. I got a dozen mixed tortillas for $1.50 and 16 oz of consome for $3.00. Came home and made my own Quesabirria tacos. The meat was so tender, I didn’t even need a knife to separate it. I highly recommend this place. I will be back to try their other offerings.
