I love coming the this local Mexican joint. Lalo’s is a great authentic Mexican food restaurant. Fantastic food flavorful food, the season is well done. Look at my pictures ao you can see for yourselves. Service is good, the folk there are nice and knowledgeable. The on the house chips are very tasty and fresh, not like other joints that give you old chips. There is asada is a great choice it is for me. So feed your food souls and God bless you all my brothers and sisters.

whenever I go here I always have the best experience with not just the delicious food but also the customer service! one staff member that stood out was Maria, who is always going the extra length to accommodate and help customers by even helping them walk they’re big to-go orders to their cars. she really helped me and my grandma understand the menu and overall just a great person to have on the job 10/10 ⭐️

Love this Lalo’s…..the wait staff are always competent and friendly. My “usual” are the carnitas nachos (light on the meat because I don’t like taking home leftovers…and they put on A Lot of meat). I get the shredded cheese option (which you don’t always get at other places). Super yummy and filling.

A locally owned chain with two locations in Ventura serving real authentic Mexican food. The restaurant is counter service but the staff are always super friendly and quick to serve.
The food is delicious, the portions are huge, and the prices are very reasonable. This time I ordered the taco salad with Carne Asada but I’m also a big fan of their chimichangas. Whatever you order though I promise you won’t leave hungry.

Have eaten there many times. Today was horrible. My enchiladas ground beef were awful. The food is not the same. Waitress was very rude. Never go back to this place. Don’t recommend!

We got two types of burritos – breakfast and California – both were good but I particularly prefer the breakfast one as it’s without rice and beans. Great location! The burrito I typically order is massive, both in size and flavor! If you want a Lil kick add the habanero sauce. 😉 They provide chips and amazing fresh salsa.I add the habanero to the salsa and go to town!
Service is always top notch! There’s always a futbol game or some mariachi to watch and the artwork / aesthetic is very pleasant! Great spot for a quick lunch!

I went to Lalo’s Restaurant in the Ventura Thompson location. On Saturday, 8/23/25, and the white female checkout clerk treated us very poorly and was very arrogant. I ordered fried mojarra, and it was extremely salty. I ordered flank steak, and they served me a dry, tough piece of meat with rice for $26.95, and it was awful. My husband wanted to order a margarita, and it cost $22. Not even in a restaurant that isn’t fast food would they be that expensive and have bad service.
