I am craving some Asian food today, but since my school week ended on a Wednesday this week, there are no Asian restaurants that are open today or open early, except this one! So, I decided to give this restaurant a try.
Right as I entered the restaurant, a heavenly smell of Indian spices hit my nose, and it made me feel so good. I got instantly seated, and I ordered a Pork Thukpa, and a Mango Lassi. I can see the city hall from my window. Btw, this is my first time trying Indian food in the USA!
The Mango Lassi was refreshing, mangoes and yogurt combined to make a creamy and cold drink! However, it isn’t even the best thing! When the Pork Thukpa arrived, the broth was boiling and the smell was insane
The food was cooked freshly, and the broth was so good it could cure a sickness. The pork however, was a little hard to bite into and needed to be a little more tender.
The service was good too, nothing to say about it.
Overall, the atmosphere was heavenly with the insane smell of Indian spices, the food was incredibly refreshing, and the service was good. Definitely a good restaurant if you’re craving Indian food! Also, you can get a view of the city hall!
Haven’t had worst food.
We had ordered chilli chicken and chicken steamed momos.the chilli chicken was fried multiple times with lot of color added and the chicken in the momos for which we waited for 30 mins , hoping atleast this would be fresh , tasted horrible.
We had one bite of each and left it. When we told the host about the horrible food, he said the chicken should not have tasted stale because it was only made yesterday!!!!
He still went ahead and charged us 26 usd.
Top notch mango lassi. Mango and yogurt combination was top tier.
Chicken Korma was less on the sweetness, different than our local place back home, but I actually prefer the one here. Flavor was wonderful and hit all the rights spots.
Tandoori chicken was a huge portion and we ended up taking home leftovers enough to be another meal!
Staff is lovely.
The restaurant is a cute little spot off of Church St. A great place for a delicious and hearty lunch.
Biryani and samosas were delicious.
However, the veggie momos were not good at all.
We went to Sherpa, another Himalayan restaurant, a couple nights earlier and everything was amazing, including all of their momo flavors. I have no idea how this place is so highly rated, even higher than Sherpa.
The decor was plain but i doesn’t matter much I was there for the food.
