Lala’s is a popularly recognized Argentinian cuisine restaurant in L.A. for its unmatched and delicious meat cuts just as you would have in Argentina. The Chimichurri is exceptional. You will not stop dipping everything in it. The food is delicious. Portion size is fine. It’s pricey, but fair enough for its reputation. Initially, when we were trying to order the waiter did give us a bit of sass for having some basic questions but nothing too out handed. The location is a bit rough since it is DTLA. Also, the restaurant itself is a bit tight, maybe not suitable for large groups. There is paid parking across the street, and rarely possible some street parking. Over all, we had a good experience.

Honestly can say that this has been the best food I have had in a very long time! The steak was perfect, soups were delicious and the service was great. Wish you had a restaurant in CT!

I really enjoyed the food here I got the chicken picante with rice and a salad their chimichurri is amazing I would return for that alone nothing stood out about the service or the atmosphere it just was what it was but that chimichurri it’s really good. I enjoyed my chicken picante the side salad had too many tomatoes for my personal liking but overall everything was really good I meant to try the empanadas but forgot so I would definitely return to try that

The food was ok. Very plane and not kinda tasty as Argentinian food really is. But the service? Unbelievable BAD! The host didn’t even look at us and said “sit anywhere” like you could say: “ Welcome, you can sit/accommodate where you prefer” this is USA and Los Angeles, so you can educate staff on customer service to be honest. The waiter BAD, didn’t even show to care about what we wanted, and in rush. It only shows the owner only cares about the money and not a real experience, but you should know you are representing Argentinian people and food, and this place is doing a bad job on that.

I used the word “unassuming” when I walked in. Then I saw that word in the description on google business. But what does it mean? I think it means simple design considering the location. Laid back, no frills, nothing over the top. This also happens to be how they cook the steak. I highly enjoyed myself. Mushrooms were delicious. The waitress was lovely despite the TED talk she had to listen to after my second beer.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting LALA’S in Downtown Los Angeles, and I must say that it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with friendly smiles and a cozy atmosphere that instantly made me feel right at home.

I’m editing this based on a response from the owner! Well, my own ignorance got me here. In the future I know to get some sauce along with my steak! Happy to recommend it.

When we entered empty it was nice and quiet with 4 diners including us made 6 – the seating layout is slightly awkward so we asked to sit at a table that seated 4 instead 2 all of these tables were available however we were told no they are reserved for a party of 4. Needless to say we dined for over an hour these tables remained empty with us 6 diners. Visiting from London.
