Lakeview is located on the shore of beautiful Crystal Lake in the center of Averill Park, NY. We are renowned to locals and tourists alike for our family atmosphere and American cuisine from soups and sandwiches to prime rib and seafood. Purchased in 1979 by Art Herman, this historic 1800’s building consisted of a bowling alley, small dining room and a bar area. In March of 1980 it had an irreparable fire. Later that year the neighborhood gathering place was rebuilt without the bowling alleys, which have been incorporated into our dining tables and bar! Today Art’s daughter Bonnie brings more than 25 years of restaurant experience & continues to offer exceptional food and always-friendly service.
Chops, burgers & other American staples are served at this casual outpost with water views & a deck.

Truly a hidden gem. A nice view of a small lake. Mia was our server, very friendly. Started with the french onion soup – outstanding. Comes in 2 sizes. We had a beef, bacon, cheddar sandwich with onion rings. The sandwich was huge. The onion rings were some of the best we have had. Worth the trip

Went here tonight for date night first time going and I will definitely go back again the waitress was perfect the food was delicious the steak is amazing cooked perfectly the seafood alfredo is delicious only if I was to order it again I would get only shrimp didn’t care for the imitation crab but the scallops and shrimp were great the mac n cheese bites w rasberry sauce were great warm n cheesy loved the rasberry smoothie too has a bar inside also with music

Love love love this place. You cant get a bad meal. This weekend we did the prime rib and the broiled haddock and was amazing. Neither of us could finish our meal due to the size. Salad was great. Service was great

Food was freezing cold. Are we just plopped everything down in front of us. Roll their eyes at me when I asked her what the soup was.And then she threw the menu. Maybe our experience was an isolated incident..Reservation for 6 people. Empty tables upon arrival. Plenty of wait staff on duty. Appetizer was wrong from what we ordered may have been because waitress was also trying to please her family which were seated behind us and little ones running all around the dinning room. Food came out cold, and was taken back to be heated with fork on plate and came back with fork in the same spot plate. We were seated 20 feet from kitchen no excuse for cold food. Also bill was presented and paid for long before our deserts arrived. I could go on but we have had enough. On the way home our group decided that we will Never go to Lakeview again. Came here on a Sunday evening for dinner. We were seated promptly at our reservation time and our server was very attentive despite the restaurant being busy. I had the broiled haddock which was absolutely perfect in every way and I was able to order a custom side of fettuccini with alfredo sauce. The portions were generous!
