Absolutely love the Lakeside Grille! First off, the view of the lake is incredible, service was excellent & food was delightfully delicious! They do offer outside dining in the summer. Price is very reasonable considering there is a casino & golf course on the premises.

Rocky Gap is one of my favorite places in Western Maryland and the Lakeside Grille is a solid dining option. It’s located on a lower floor, away from the casino. Arrive early and ask for a window seat for views of the lake. The entrees and steaks are a little pricey, but the handhelds are reasonably priced.

We’ve had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here on different occasions, and each visit has been solid across the board. The shift from a buffet-style setup to a full-service restaurant feels like a welcome upgrade, creating a more relaxed and refined atmosphere. I’m surprised at the overall low rating. The food, service, and atmosphere were all exquisite! I ordered the braised short ribs I would highly recommend that dish. Solid 10/10, break the scales delicious. Our server was really nice as well. I didn’t catch her name, but she was awesome. The nice views as you dine are the cherry on top. Definitely give this place a try if you visit Rocky Gap. Well worth the 2 hour trip for my friend and I.

Thank you Lakeside Grille for making my fiancé birthday dinner so special this evening!
First, our server, Shannon, was simply the best. He was on the ball all evening and calm, cool and collected despite having multiple tables. Shannon checked with the kitchen on not having pico de gallo in the Fiesta Salad since I don’t like tomatoes, which I sincerely appreciated. He even gave my fiancé a birthday dessert of his choice on the house at the end of the meal, complete with a candle to blow out! Shannon, thank you for making dinner extra special tonight.
For $63, we had the brussel sprouts, fiesta salad, bleu cheese and steak alfredo, and two soft drinks. The food was delicious! Brussel sprouts had a light sriracha butter that added a little heat, the pasta was tasty and steak cut with ease. The salad could have benefited from more dressing, less lettuce and more black beans, corn and Mexican rice because the filling was so good.
Very reasonable prices for such a nice restaurant on the lake with excellent service. The restaurant has beautiful decor with exposed beams, industrial lighting and comfortable seating. Beautiful views!

My wife and I ate at this restaurant about 5 years ago and the food and atmosphere were good at that time , this is why as we were on our way back from Deep Creek with Family we decided to stop in and treat her mother as we were celebrating her birthday along with other members of our family.
We were unfortunately very shocked to find the standards have sunk so low.
Let’s start with the good, our waiter had only been employed at the Resort Restaurant for about 2 months. He had shared that he was living in LasVegas previously and had relocated back to the area. I must say as a previous General Manager of a Resort myself, this is the kind of guy you look for to work in your restaurant. Not only was he professional, but he was friendly and managed to keep all our drinks full and didn’t have to be searched for when something was needed. He is excellent and I hope the restaurant can restore its quality if for no other reason than except for this guy to make a good living. He was the highlight. Again , great server.
The other staff we dealt with was not overtly friendly , and I must admit it was the first time I’ve seen a hostess seating people in a resort restaurant while wearing a NFL Team Jersey. Just a suggestion , but if you’re trying to portray a “reservation style dining experience ” your hostess shouldn’t look like she is running her second shift at Buffalo WildWings.
Also on a “quality” and atmosphere point. Your greatest feature of the restaurant is obviously the glass curtain wall with view of the lake, unfortunately all the glass was dirty, with cob webs, streaks and poor cleaning so you had to look through the dirt to see the lake. Again, if you’re trying to capitalize on the view, at least have your resort maintenance or housekeeping staff hit these windows daily. It would make a big difference.
And lastly the food. I ordered the Chicken Agado. It came out cold, the chicken was over cooked and very dry. The Jasmine Rice was hard and dry but the veggies were good.
Two people in our party order the Shrimp Meal. Again the shrimp were over cooked, the rice was hard and dry and the cauliflower was mediocre.
One member of our party ordered the smash burger , which he shared was good , however the fries were also rather plain. He also ordered the Banana Foster Desert and shared it was good.
Overall the waiter was great, and the desert seemed to be the best menu item at our table however the professionalism and quality control seemed greatly lacking.
As a former Resort GM I would highly recommend some enhanced quality control protocols or checks and balances , I observed multiple other “quality control” type issues as I made my way through the resort. The restaurant has potential but you really need a manager with an eye for quality and professionalism, between the dirty windows, the cobwebs, the poor quality food and the general lack or “customer first priority” service coming from your hostess team I’m afraid this place in general will continue to charge “resort prices” while delivering a diner type atmosphere and experience.

We waited a little bit as we had no reservations and it was well worth the wait! The food was amazing as was the service. Some reviews mention high cost but the prices actually reflect reality these days. I would eat here again!

Updating my review as I had previously only had breakfast but have now had dinner. They only serve breakfast and dinner, no lunch menu but they’re open during that time. Breakfast is great especially if you’re staying the night. It’s tasty, prices are reasonable and a good selection to choose from. It can get busy for breakfast and dinner so be patient or make reservations, have never had to wait too long. Dinner we ate early (and fortunately because when we finished we heard the host telling others a 2 hour wait for non-reservations on a Friday night). Service was good, waiter friendly, food timely, hot and accurate. It wasn’t the best food I’ve ever had but not bad. We didn’t get any dessert or drinks, but perhaps another time. All in all a solid choice, worth going to at least once especially if you’re staying on premises.
