We were at Split Rock for a family reunion, and we had a group of 60 that arrived on a Friday night without reservations and the restaurant was so accommodating! They quickly moved tables and set us up in the front dining room. We had families coming in at different times and we created all sorts of chaos since we hadn’t seen each other in a long time. The head waitress was AMAZING! And the staff worked quickly to deliver our orders. The food and drinks were delicious and the portions were huge! The kids were also able to enjoy the beach area after dinner. FYI it is a now a Mexican restaurant not tavern food.

I had a great weekend and the water park was a blast. Although the dinner at the tavern was better then the breakfast the home fries could have been cooked more.overall the place was a 10 but I can’t rate that high lol

Cool spot to hangout at. Too bad the bar was closed when we visited. It’s May 1 when we visited and it was great for a picnic day. We didnt as we didnt plan for it. The weather was perfect and there wasn’t much people which is good coz covid. Gosh I’ve been posting “covid” in all my reviews lately! Have i mentioned covid sucks?! It sucks! Anyway, we’ll be back here next time we visit the area hopefully we get to hang at the bar area and get some drinks… and food.

Had the Saturday night buffet. Options included these amazing grilled veggies, rice pilaf, a dish with cod and tuna poached with pineapple, chicken marsala, pot roast, penne and vegetarian marinara, macaroni and cheese, chicken fingers, a variety of fresh rolls, as well as Caesar salad, 3 bean salad, a creamy/cheesy broccoli salad, and a fresh cucumber salad. There were also 4 desserts to choose from: a German chocolate cake, a chocolate- chocolate cake, carrot cake, and apple pie.

We been here 3 times already. The food is delicious! We came to celebrate Mother’s Day . We came for brunch all they have is basic breakfast which is delicious!When I talked to them the night before who ever I talked to on the phone said they are having lobster. We have kids that is hungry I forgot to ask them about it. We waited 1 hour for our food. Kids is getting restless. How ever I don’t know what’s going on in the kitchen? As soon as we get our food everyone’s food starts coming out also. The staff is really nice !

The cover band wasn’t even playing. They were fake playing over recorded music. Waited two hours to get seated after being promised 20 minutes. The cover band was fake!

Food was actually pretty great, highly recommended to eat here vs other places in the area. Cant say the same about the service though. Very slow and lack of care. Needed refills constantly had to wave someone down, plates kept stacking higher and higher meanwhile our server came back asking if we wanted to order more food to presumably trying to increase our tab. There was no “hey hows the food” or “hey can I remove some plates for you guys?”. We stacked our plates ourselves trying to create more room to eat. Our server michelle was very friendly just a tad slow for not having a high crowd. Restaurants are maxed at 25% and we were the last 2 tables. She was really nice so maybe just a tough day.. The cake for the birthday was nice so that was awesome. Like i mentioned, zero i mean absolutely zero complains about food really great but service needs to pick up. Potentially a wonderful 5 but for now a well deserved 3.

My wife and i ate here on vacation . We wanted to seat on the deck , they said ablut half hr so not bad we went to the sand bar outside and had a few drinks. The menu is short . The server was forgetting about us at times , got the order wrong as well . The steak i got had so much fat on it and was 30 for the meal was little disappointed in that. But the view is nice we whiched the sunset while eating that was nice.

We were looking for a good morning breakfast. Their business page says they open at 8am. We went, walked all around, and everything was locked. We went into the lodge and were told they don’t do breakfast. So disappointed.
