Stopped to look at eagles and turkey vultures in Lake City and my wife saw their sign saying new ownership and menu. If someone is brave enough to buy a restaurant in our world today, I should be brave enoigh to try. We sat on a deck which gave us a nice view of the lake (& the eagles). I had a blue cheese burger with steak fries and she had grilled cheese on texas toast and a salad with strawberry vinaigrette. Both were very good. Just a word about the steak fries. Usually they are thick cut which leads to uneven cooking. Here they were thin which was marvelous. They do have a modest selection of local craft beer, which means you are not stuck with Miller or Bud. I think ee will stop here agsin. Probably intentionally rathet than on a whim

Service great but food was poorly prepared. Crab Bisque had a very off flavor like it was old did not taste fresh. We returned it. Fried chicken in the sandwich was raw with only the batter level cooked. We returned the raw chicken sandwich. I complained that the bisque was horrible but they still billed me. Looking at the overall reviews of this place it looks like it’s “feast” or “famine” if you eat here. Only 2nd meal I have every returned in over 50 years of dining out. Will not return.

Fish cool not hot. Cole slaw warm like under heat lamps too long. My wife got her food after I finished my meal. Out of what she ordered. Informed they did not have the salad she ordered. When my meal was delivered.

We loved the theme execution!! It is very fitting for the area and the menu. I ordered the pork sandwich and fries while my husband ordered the smokestack sandwich with fries. We usually split so we can taste everything, but neither of us wanted to share it was so good! Good service as well. We will be back!

This was my second time down to Lake House Restaurant I was not impressed the first time but I thought I would give it a try again. Sometime they can have a bad day… however…..
I was extremely disappointed ….. It was not busy…we waited longer than it should have taken to get seated….. it took our food over 45 minutes to get …again it wasn’t that busy.
(We watched a couple get up and leave because of poor service)…I order the salmon with potatoes and asparagus. I sent it back…I could NOT CUT the Asparagus with a Knife and they were cold…the potatoes were hard a my salmon was extremely dry.
We were there over 2 hours.
The other 2 had hamburgers. They said they were good…. except service the was extremely slow.
I do not recommend this eating establishment.

I really like the decor. Nautical theme. There is even a compass rose above the bar. This reminds me of a place that should be in Annapolis MD – the sailing capitol of the world – very nicely executed. I sat at the bar for a Saturday night dinner – so service was professional, friendly, attentive. I did notice a huge slew of servers working the tables.
My green salad starter was perfect – not fancy but everything was fresh and blue cheese dressing had chunks of blue cheese. My smoked rib entree was yummy. Nice smoke to the ribs and cooked well and seasoned with yummy sauce – albeit was NOT fall off the bone. But still yummy. I saw good beers on tap. Saw a full bar. I saw Stella beer served in Stella chalice – nice touch.
I hope this place is successful – Lake City needs a place like this. Ultimately – it will come down to the continued attention to the details.

Recent new owners have certainly improved the quality of both food and service. Be prepared for a hefty bill. Don’t get me wrong, good quality ingredients but a high price for serving size. A great range of drinks. I’d go again for a special occasion but it’s too expensive for a regular place to eat.
