This little hole in the wall burger/slider/chili dog place was great. There are only eight soda fountain style counter seats and just enough room behind them for people stand, order and wait. When I arrived the little place was packed (a good sign) and standing room only. There are very few items on the menu. They are known for their sliders (made fresh on the grill). The owner is 4th generation. Besides regular sodas, they also offer regional Double Cola and Ski Citrus in the bottle. This bustling little cafe was not bad at all, especially for being in a small town.

Loved the food and will most definitely be back. The only negative thing that I can say about this little restaurant is the lack of seating to eat inside, and the accessibility options for people in a wheelchair, but the order out window in the restaurant made it fairly easy for my friend and I to order, pay, and pick up our food to eat in the car.

Where a double is double the meat NOT two patties!!!Best burger in Central Kentucky! Great atmosphere and ran by the original family that opened it in 1934. If your ever passing through make it a point to stop in and enjoy a good burger!

Nice little lunch stop on the historic square of downtown Hodgenville, KY. Has a walk-up window for to-go orders. Inside is what I would consider a nostalgic diner—a counter with approx 15 barstools. There is non-stop action at the walk-up window and behind the counter as employees quickly try to serve the patrons. On this day there was about a 20 minute wait for food due to the amount of customers. But the wait is worth the experience. We sat at the diner and had the most wonderful person waiting on us. These are small town people with big personalities and big hearts. My husband said the burgers were wonderful, my granddaughter loved the hot dogs. I was looking forward to the onion rings as small diner onion rings are usually the best. But our waitress said due to supply shortages across the nation, they haven’t been able to serve onion rings in awhile. French fries sufficed. They buy their meat fresh every morning and patty them out by hand, and grill them right behind the diner non-stop while we were there. You can buy bottled drinks as there are no fountain drinks. Pricing is very reasonable. If you can’t find parking on the square, drive around to the back of the building and turn right into a parking lot.

A lot of hype around this place it’s a lot smaller than I thought which is not a big deal except it’s busy all the time. You should really do a call in. As far as the burgers go there mid to good. Had to drive an hour to get out here. It really wasn’t worth the drive since there isn’t really any parking and the food really wasn’t that great. Go to Culver’s it’s actually a little better

If you ever have a chance to eat hear do yourself a favor and be like Nike, just do it!!! We went to the Maker’s Mark distillery in Kentucky and stopped here on the way back to Nashville!!!! Totally worth it!!! I’m a HUGE fan!!!! Also, they have amazing prices!!! Huge taste for low cost!!! Tip: if you go here a double is two patties together to form one.

I’ve had hamburgers across the US and to say that this would be in my top 2% best hamburger would be an understatement. The small but cozy fourth generation hamburger joint is a must stop for the hamburger enthusiast. I got my picture with the chef himself as a fourth generation cook. The stove is original back to the 1950s and still producing the best hamburger I’ve had in years from its seasoned grill. I ordered the double cheeseburger and should’ve got two they were so good. Make it your next stop.

Loved it. Can’t wait to go back. The atmosphere is genuine and reminds me of the small cafe I grew up going to in rural western Indiana. Only got a slider but between the aroma of the chili and the taste of the slider I’m sure the entire menu is amazing. I can’t wait to come back for more.

Read about this place online. Best burgers in Kentucky. Drove 2.5 hours to try them and they didn’t disappoint. The owner took time to talk with us, food was great and the staff was quick and friendly. There was a line out the door the entire time we were there. Definitely check them out.
