My wife and I really enjoyed our meal here. My wife ordered the 2 piece fried fish plate. The fish pieces were huge and really tasty, along with plenty of fries. The 2 pieces of fish likely equaled a whole fish and were each about 8″ long. I ordered the burger, which was delicious, with sweet potato fries. Top that off with friendly and great service and this was an unexpectedly awesome experience. The atmosphere rating was based on the type of restaurant this is… More pub style than luxury dining.

Okay, I know it’s mostly a seafood restaurant but their Wagyu beef hamburger is by far the best in town. Cooked medium rare exactly like I asked with grilled jalapeños. Absolutely perfect. Cold beer and sweet potato fries. What’s could be better. Even the ambiance was very pleasing. Don’t miss this place. Loved it.

Great place to grab some seafood! The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. I recommend upgrading to Pirate Style – which you can see in the picture of the Hurricane Combo. Instead of fried fish, they are grilled and smothered. And they’ll cook your catch.

Went for an early dinner tonight at 5pm. Husband’s grilled red snapper was moist and flavorful. Son’s chicken Alfredo was huge! My fried fish was nice and crunchy and not greasy at all. We shared an order of coconut shrimp and it got a thumbs up all around. Our young waitress patiently answered all my menu guestions and was very attentive. Definitely recommend!

Laguna Reef Restaurant in Corpus Christi delivered a good blend of Gulf Coast charm, refreshing drinks, and flavorful seafood. If you’re craving a laid-back atmosphere with food that doesn’t disappoint, this spot is a must.

We started with the Cucumber Mojito and Coconut Margarita — both were exceptional. The mojito was light, crisp, and not overly sweet, with just the right kick of mint and cucumber to cool you down on a warm Texas day. The coconut margarita was creamy, tropical, and beautifully balanced — like a beach vacation in a glass.

For our meal, we tried the grilled fish and shrimp tacos, and they were packed with fresh, smoky flavor. The fish was lightly seasoned and tender, while the shrimp were plump and juicy, with a slight char that added depth. Everything tasted freshly caught and nicely prepared. The tacos came with a generous helping of toppings that enhanced rather than overpowered the seafood — exactly how it should be.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Laguna Reef is worth the stop. Great service, beautiful bay views, and a menu that highlights the best of coastal cuisine. Don’t skip the cocktails — they’re just as memorable as the food!

I really want to love this place. I’ve met the owner before he reopened the place and I’m local. My wife and I have gone multiple times with the intention of making it our “go-to” spot but unfortunately the food has been decent but the service and seating is not ideal. I’ve yet to have good service from the staff. They aren’t rude just not good at their job. And the seating feels tight. I hope they increase the service aspect

We came here on a Friday afternoon about 2 o’clock. The dining room was about half full when we got there. We discovered this is the same great food that we got used to when it was at the marina at the end of Laguna Shores Road. The menu feels familiar and when you buy fish, for an extra three dollars you can upgrade to whatever the local catch is. Their normal fish is an Alaskan white fish, which I’m sure is good, but I always choose to upgrade. Today I upgraded to the mahi-mahi. The mahi-mahi was large fat fillets and were crispy as was the shrimp. The beer is priced reasonably, and the dining room is comfortable with the typical nautical theme. We are so glad to have these guys back in business and we look forward to coming back many times.

I was visiting from Georgia. I was disappointed with the service and the food. First of all the person that greeted us wasn’t pleasant. The waitress seem unknowledgeable about the menu. The food wasn’t what we expected. We ordered the seafood platter. The waitress brought it in baskets Mahi Mahi looked like 2 large fish sticks. Grilled veggies were covered in grease. This isn’t a restaurant I would recommend.
