Lago Mariscos Mexican Seafood – Sugar Land – DoorDash
Reviews
They had a live band performing, which definitely added energy to the restaurant, but it was a bit too loud at times and made conversation difficult. While live music is a nice touch, lowering the volume slightly would make the dining experience more comfortable
One highlight of the restaurant is the amazing patio area, it’s perfect for eating outside, especially if you want to enjoy the atmosphere without being indoors. The patio really adds to the overall vibe and makes it a great place to relax.
****One small downside was the bathroom cleanliness. The bathrooms could’ve been cleaned a little more, which stood out compared to how nice the rest of the restaurant looked
Overall, Lago Mariscos offers great food, a fun vibe, and a beautiful outdoor patio. With better sound control and cleaner restrooms, it would easily be a 5-star experience!!!
The service was also great, very friendly staff and there’s even live music! I’ll absolutely be back, next time with friends. A truly fabulous experience!
Excited to try more dishes and come in for a drink to watch a game or live music!
The food is still good, but it’s definitely not what it used to be. The flavor for most items is pretty good, but I’ve gotten quite a few things from here that were honestly very bland. For the prices they charge, you’d expect consistency and uniformity across the board, but it’s a gamble on flavor and quality.
The staff are usually pretty attentive and responsive, but as the restaurant has grown in popularity, they’ve become less-so as you can imagine. They’re constantly going from frigid indoors to smeltering outdoors, trying their best to take care of customers along the way. I don’t blame them at all, but it is noteworthy. During our latest visit, they forgot our drinks and we had to grab a second waitress thirty minutes after waiting for the first. This was just for water, and yes we were outside so it was hot. Our food then arrived over an hour after that, including the appetizer and the alcoholic beverages.
Inside is blaringly loud. There’s no sound insulation, there’s a lot of metal, and there’s barely concrete, meaning everything reverberates and echoes until it amplifies to a deafening degree. Outside, there’s beautiful scenery next to the little river that winds along the path, but unfortunately, we ARE in Texas so it gets uncomfortably hot. There’s only the occasional large umbrella outside for shade. We always choose the uncomfortable heat over the uncomfortable volume since it feels like there’s no benefit to eating inside.
This may be a good “once in a special occasion” type place. But anything more, and you may begin having lackluster experiences like we’ve had our past few visits
