I went to the Lager House to see DeadbeatDads and Six Foot Blond. The stage area holds 50 – 75 people standing comfortably. Thats just a guess. I’m 66 and they were happy to provide a chair. I was very outnumbered with the average age being 20’s, early 30’s. The band area is standing room general admission. I had a great time seeing a couple of very good bands in a small setting. The staff was friendly. I even had the chance to talk with members of both bands. Another advantage of a small venue. I definitely recommend as a pretty good place to see local and regional bands. One of Detroits hidden gems. I didn’t try the food so I can’t comment. They have a pretty wide selection of craft beers on tap. I paid $7 for an Atwater Lager draft. Not outrageous. No complaints. I had a great time.

Great service and attentive staff even when they’re getting smoked by a music event. Came in for a burger and got a bonus great music show. There is a very chill neighborhood friendly vibe that is contagious. Prices are fantastic, food is good (wings are massive) and the service is kind and efficient. Very impressed with the staff and will be back.

Went here to see a band in the Summer and immediately was put off by the bartender who was aggressive on making everyone start a tab because there was a $10 minimum for card purchases (mind you all alcohol was like $9) and then was rude about trying to cash out people after the show. Also the bartender thought my fiancée was trying to buy drinks for underage or something and made me come to the bar as well to show my ID for them to purchase 2 drinks (weird) and treated my fiancée like he was dumb. The audio was rough to say the least and then the lights were either too bright and when the musician asked for the lights to be turned down the only option was completely off. Overall not planning to come back for a show and especially not for a drink based off the service.

A jewel of the Detroit entertainment scene.Any given night you’ll see top notch bands from all over and many different genres as well.Fantastic beer selections from local, regional and national producers. I haven’t ate here yet but the food coming out of the kitchen looks and smells great. The front yard is taking shape nicely as it’s a recent addition and given a nice view of bustling Corktown. Lots of parking, resonable drink prices, and super music. What more could you ask for?
Had to update this as I’ve finally ate a meal there.Had the Shroomer burger and fries. Easily one of the best bar burgers I’ve ever had. It’s a smash style patty, this has two of them layered with cheese and mushrooms. Cooked to juicy, outdoor grill like flavored perfection. The fries were stellar too. Loved it

I went to Lager house to see New Constellations play. It was my first time going there. It is a great neighborhood spot, and people there were very friendly. I couldn’t say if they served food or not, since I was there for a show. But overall, I great spot to hang out, have a cold drink and see a good show.

So… I never knew about this place for brunch. Wow, one of the better brunches I’ve had period.

We had the shrimp and grits and the vegan biscuits and gravy. To sum our meal up…as the kids would say…it slapped!! It was so damn good.

The shrimp and grits came with two polenta cakes. Then smother in a creamy sauce, and topped with a pile of shrimp and bacon. You can’t go wrong! The shrimp had a Cajun seasoning on them that tasted great with the cream sauce. The grilled toast points were a perfect addition to soak up some of the sauce.

I only sampled some of the vegan biscuits and gravy. From what I tasted the gravy was rich and flavorful. The tofu scramble was seasoned well and it had a nice mix of peppers and onions it tasted pretty good.

Overall I highly recommend this place for bunch.
