First time at this small, restaurant i have passed on a number of occasions and always promised to come back and try it. And finally, did, and i’m glad I did the food came out.Piping hot and was delicious. I was planning on going to try a steak, but when I saw the dinner special that evening of salmon croquettes, which I love, I knew I had to try them. served with gravy and two sides with cornbread, it was delicious. Also tried their desserts. Yes, plural, I took some home, and I plan to share with a neighbor but they had all three of my favorites, which I cannot find at most restaurants, blackberry cobbler, coconut cream pie and banana pudding. I’ll definitely go back and more than likely on a wednesday night for the salmon croquet specials, which are not on the menu. There was only one server, and luckily I was there. Early, and not many people. But as more showed it was harder to get her time but she was sweet, great with recommendations and was helpful in understanding some of the pictures in the restaurant? And I highly recommend that you take time to walk down memory lane and look at the pictures everywhere! ask some of the locals or people working there about them. Very interesting!!

I liked the atmosphere and the service was good. BBQ ribs were dry and heavily sauced. Fish dishes were good. My main gripe was my 12 oz ribeye, ordered medium rare. The steak was thin so basically medium to medium well. Not really a steak at all.

Great meal! Salad fresh…not out of a bag. Country fried steak good. Baked potatoes and mac and cheese very good. Butterfly shrimp were as expected in KY. Hey, we aren’t on the Atlantic Coast! Overall great experience. Service was friendly and fast!

Had a steak,potatoes,broccoli and mac n cheese. The best tasting thing was the broccoli. The atmosphere was upbeat and good. They should probably work on splitting the tables better for the servers cause mine had two tables on the opposite side of the restaurant so i never saw her.

We finally stopped here for dinner. The food was excellent. Nice selection on the menu. The steaks were delicious!!! This is a do again.
They were short staffed and apologized for the time it took. Gave us a chance to all talk and interact with each other. Definitely going back!! Next time I will get pictures!

Was here last night. I think their kitchen is a bit short staffed as it all took a while to get out. Appetizers here and just about everywhere, including cheescake factory, seem to be an after thought these days as you can put that order in as soon as you arrive and it seems to barely make it out before the meal. I will say the potato bats were a nice and slightly different twist on a potato dish being battered and fried. I would recommend.
Service was a little less than ok. Would like drinks topped off a bit more with the wait. Prices seem very high for steak being market price and surrounded by farms. $22 or 23 for a 10 oz sirloin? For the tips with veg, veg could stand to be larger pieces. Atmosphere is decent. Mac and chz out of a box would probably have more flavor. Don’t think brussels or broccoli had much seasoning except maybe a little salt. We were here on a short weekend getaway trip for the family. I would go back to the area again for short, secluded getaways, but I won’t go back here for their dinners. I would like to try their sandwiches & burgers. All in all, just ok, less if all they had was only dinners.

The steaks and bake potatoes were delicious. The staff was very friendly too. The salad would have been better if they kept it chilled. This place has been open since 1988 and there is a fishing lake across the street. We would definitely love to come back to again. Could use a little cleaning on the porch because a huge spider web was in the corner of the entrance.
