Heroes! Tiffany, Adam, Andrew, Angela, Whitney. Others too. Their response time was like 2.5 seconds. Ladd’s is 100% safe & accessible, but somehow my 90 year-old nana fell down right in the entryway, on the way in. She must have tried to do a cartwheel with her walker, or something.
She biffed it. Everybody coordinated to help us. One dude was calling EMS, Tiffany was sitting on the floor with nana, helping keep her safe until EMS arrived, Adam & Andrew blocked off a doorway & redirected people to another exit so we would not get stepped on.
During all that chaos my mom wandered away for some reason, and she got a little passy out-ish, like she was going to faint or something. Someone (I think Angela) found her and brought her to me. I didn’t know what was going on, I thought angela was a friend of my mom’s and they ran into each other, or something, because she was holding her hand and had her arm around her.
The crew at Ladd’s is really, really good people, seems to me. Nana is okay, and my mom is okay, and the food is great so everybody go eat at Ladd’s.
It’s always an interesting atmosphere, fun for adults, healthy environment for kids, a local favorite spot for good reason. And they’ve been around such a long time, its part of the local culture around here so you don’t want to miss it. Just get on Rt 122, drive through the woods, and I’ll put a picture of it, here you go, you’re welcome. Happy new year. : )

We just came home from a wonderful early Sunday dinner at Ladds, and only have good things to say. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our waiter was Brayden, who said he was new to table service. Can’t tell; he was personable, attentive and efficient.
Our food was fantastic. My wife had chicken piccata. It was crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside, and had a ton of capers. She wasn’t crazy for the butternut squash, but I liked it just fine. I got the Delmonico steak; it was cooked a PERFECT medium rare as ordered, and was topped with a brown sauce with mushrooms that was a great addition without being overpowering. My meal came with choice of potato, the squash, and a side salad, which I upgraded to a Caesar salad. The meal was absolutely delicious, enough steak for a second serving, at an unbelievable price. Ladds got quite busy as we were ready to leave, yet the staff seemed to handle the rush with calm, friendly service. Definitely will return!

We were camping in the area and decided to check out this restaurant. The appetizers came out quick but the dinner took a little longer to come out. Our waitress seemed to forget things and didn’t visit our table as much toward the end. We ordered the dessert and the apple crisp was cold. We will probably give it another try if we are in the area again.

Another stop from our travels, we took another route from Sturbridge area and we had past this months ago. This time we knew we were headed there, so we wanted to give it a go. Food was good, beverages were good, it was not super busy. The last time we passed this place the lot was pretty busy. We both had the baked stuff haddock with lobster sauce. I had a Wormtown beer and my wife had White Russian style drink.

We were a large party. 18 or so people. Some showed up late, so those of us who were on time were already an hour in. Our glasses were empty most of the time. Got there at 5… took our orders at like 6:30. Food doesn’t come out until 7:30-7:45. The waitress didn’t seem to even care. All told, it was a 3-hour affair, and I’ve just never experienced anything like this before. Seems like a very popular place, so this was probably just a fluke, but I don’t see myself ever returning. Also, the people who arrived an hour late got their food before those of us who arrived on time. Just a bizarre experience all around.

It was very welcoming but a little busy for us in the bar/dining area tonight. So my honey sat in the huge quieter dining room to the left so we could relax & recap our day apart. (Rainy) – sp-Rene – was our server & she was fab-u-lous! We started with the small crock of French onion soup , & some soft warm buns..mmmm
Then had the grilled lemon swordfish w a baked potato & butternut squash_ muh honey had the fish & chips (again) lol *he puts malt vinegar on the best steak fries Ever….Who does that? #UhmHeDoes&TheyAreAwesome !heh
I do have to say that we have only been there 2xs inside & (take-out 1x) We really have been nothing but happy with our food , the friendly atmosphere , the prices & the outstanding service.
Cannot wait till’ next time to try something new.. (My boo is gonna get the fish & Chips again- pretty sure)
Oh but the desserts… OhMylanta _ I was full but I had to try the Strawberry waffle shortcake thingy … a definite “must try”! So yum!

far above any other dining establishments in the area! don’t let how affordable the menu is deter you. Ladds is a classic New England Restaurant with all the bases covered. Try their amazing lobster bisque!

The food at Ladds is always good, but whenever we get takeout and we’re told a certain time to pick it up, it’s always 30-45 minutes later than that time. Unfortunately this makes us not want to eat from here and would rather give other restaurants our business.
