Lachele’s has a wide range of customized sandwiches with unique combinations of ingredients resulting in a delightful dining experience. You get a choice of sides with sandwiches. We had their tots which are slightly spicy and well seasoned. The food, service and atmosphere were all top notch. The restaurant is very clean, tastefully decorated and full service. Areas for bar, restaurant and ice cream deserts are joined and you can move from the bar to the restaurant them to dessert easily inside. Note that parking in this location is challenging so my advice is to park wherever you find availability in the district then work your way to the venue.

Stopped in last Thursday and got a Lachele Burger to go. It made my 5.5 hour drive so much better. Best burger I have ever had, probably. Very generous with the fries, too. Next time I’m in Des Moines, I’m going back.

I ordered the Lacheles burger and it was the best burger i’ve ever had. I got the chili fries too and they we’re the best fries i’ve ever had. Then we got the chili mac and it was also really good. The normal fries are also amazing and that garlic parmesan aioli sauce is insane. America created burgers and if i had to describe that burger, it tasted like America. The vibes are really nice too, cozy and friendly and the service was amazing. So good i tipped twice. Highly recommend to anybody who wants to try the best burgers in Des Moines.

Just tried Lachele’s for the first time and it was a decent place. We sat down and were told to move so another group could sit down. Which was rude. I had already paid for my food and I tipped. The burger was decent. Only thing I wished was that they didn’t put ketchup and mustard on the top and bottom bun. It makes it super soggy and gross. I wish they used short rib. The patty was dry but overall decent little spot. I would absolutely go again, just would ask for only ketchup and mustard on one side of the bun and light. The mac and cheese was too creamy for me (cheese was more sticky than i like). Tater tots were food, and fries were good too!

Genuinely the best burgers and tots I’ve ever had in my entire life the staff is super friendly. Unfortunately two different times where I have arrived at 8:30pm and they are cleaning the grills and have the doors locked, which would make sense for a restaurant that isn’t on one of the busiest roads in Des monies if your hours say open until 9 then we shouldn’t be locking the doors at 8:30 I just wanted my uncle Denny man

The food was delicious plus the staff and atmosphere are top tier! It’s a popular spot, so it does get busy during dinner hours, but the staff does a great job keeping things moving smoothly and making sure everyone is taken care of.

I honestly can’t recommend the burgers enough. My kids would say 100 double thumbs up. I love the Uncle Denny, but they are all top notch and the specials are a great adventure. Add tots to your meal and be completely stuffed and satisfied. The portions are great size. They have unique drink options which makes the experience special. No table reservations so you have to place an order before you take a seat. It gets a bit crowded at the lunch rush but if you can come outside of the rush it is very laid back.
