Authentic Italian cuisine.

The positives:
Food was delicious and large portions. The appetizer Gamberoni Pistachio was enough as a meal! Highly recommend the Cioppino, which was flavorful and rich. Ambience was nice but nothing fancy, the rose at the table was real, to give you some context.

The bad:
Service was ok, a bit slow. My water was not refilled during my whole time. Most importantly the prices on the menu had not been updated. My appetizer was $2 more and my entree was $4 more. That might not seem like a lot but if you have a large group, it would add up over multiple dishes. I am not sure why they have not updated their menus or at least inform guests prices are wrong. Most people probably would not have caught it, but another guest also caught it on their bill. I deducted a star because of that but otherwise I would go back for the food quality.

In this day of over-hyped dining, La Vita E Bella is a lovely oasis of old-school hospitality. If you’re hankering for delicious Italian dishes at realistic prices, served by thoughtful servers in a welcoming environment, then this restaurant deserves your consideration. It’s an ideal place to dine with friends as there is plenty of seating and portions are hearty and suitable for sharing family style: four of us ordered two appetizers (mussels and combination bruschetta), two salads (a Caesar and strawberry salad) and two pasta plates (pesto and boar ragu) and a couple of rounds of drinks, and we all left sated without breaking the bank. The boar ragu is especially tasty, lovingly made by the owner himself (the gracious Evan). It’s not always on the menu, so be sure and order it when it’s available.

I’ve walked past this place so many times, and this was my first time trying it. I ordered takeout through DoorDash. The packaging was solid, nothing spilled at all. When I opened it at home, the presentation was still great and food was still hot.

It tasted better than I expected as many restaurants in Belltown I’ve tried are just ok and only good for location.

The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the tomato sauce had a rich, cheesy flavor. It was nicely tangy without being heavy or greasy. There were ground meat and some green peas mixed in, which added great texture and flavor.

I finished the entire dish and even used the three slices of bread that came with it to soak up the remaining sauce.

While waiting for my order, I noticed the dine-in atmosphere looks really nice too, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely looking forward to coming back to eat in next time.

We definitely recommend the mussels, they were incredible!

Amazing food, wonderful service, and truly dog-friendly!

La Vita E’ Bella is an absolute gem. The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish we ordered was delicious, from the perfectly cooked pasta to the rich, authentic sauces. You can really taste the quality and love put into the food.

The service was just as impressive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making the whole experience feel relaxed and special.

What really made this place stand out for us was how dog-friendly it is. The outdoor seating was comfortable, and our pup was warmly welcomed, which made the experience even better.

Highly recommend this spot for great Italian food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere — especially if you’re dining with your four-legged friend!

Some of the best pasta ive had in Seattle! The service was spot on as well. Walked to our spot and checked on promptly. We opted to sit outside and it was such a great idea! I ended up getting the special and my fiancee got a seafood option. Both were fantastic! You could tell the pasta was fresh. They serve bread on the side, but we also got the buchetta as well which was nice to bring home. Definitely coming back to try more pasta and hopefully room for dessert!

Had a wonderful experience at La Vita E Bella. The atmosphere feels cozy and welcoming, almost like a small spot you’d find in Italy. The homemade pasta really stood out — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The warm bread served at the table was a nice touch as well. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overwhelming. Overall, it felt like a genuine Italian dining experience and I would definitely visit again.

Had kind of a weird experience here. On a Thursday night for a birthday dinner, we were seated very fast. Service was fast, and we got our orders in quick. But when one of our entrees came out, they said they had run out of the gnocchi, and had replaced it with tortellini. Our server did seem caught off guard, as the kitchen did not tell her about this replacement. But usually, if you are out of something that was ordered, we should have been given the option to change the order. Not given a random replacement without notice?

They compensated us with a free dessert, but given the quality of the food, it didn’t feel worth it. For example, the chicken parm was overcooked, tasting burnt. And the tiramisu tasted a little old.

On the positive, the bruschetta and cocktails were tasty. But based on our experience, unsure if we will visit again.

The food was spectacular. Generous portion sizes and everything was served piping hot in quick succession. General service was great and the wine selection was all delicious.

Took my “Almost Daughter” to dinner at the La Vita E Bella restaurant on 2nd Avenue in Seattle recently and had a marvelous experience! The wait staff was very professional while still being very friendly and helpful (seemed happy to honor our request to take pictures of us celebrating the occasion).
The appetizers and the meals were excellently prepared and served, and were absolutely delicious.
Can’t say enough about what a memorable meal it was. “Thank You” doesn’t say enough!
