Today is Good Friday. We are visiting from out of town. We decided to come here based on a review posted to a competitor. The pizza was good. Extra Cheese. The soda is Coca-Cola. 4 dollars for a soda is steap, but what are you going to do?
The crust was crisp without flop and had great chew. The sauce was tasty and the cheese wasn’t greasy.

La Villa Roma is a decent spot in Leesburg for Italian food. The pizza crust was crispy, and the toppings were fresh and generous, definitely better than the pasta, which was just okay. The staff was friendly, and the decor was pleasant, though nothing extraordinary—it’s cozy, not lavish. The ample parking is a plus, making it convenient to visit. While I wouldn’t call it a ‘hidden gem,’ it’s a solid choice if you’re craving pizza and want a family-friendly atmosphere.

I got takeout and tried the GF pasta carbonara. The sauce was good, the pasta cooked well, but there was waaayyyy too much bacon. And it’s over salted and chewy. Less bacon and it would taste pretty good, but the texture was odd. I added my own peas since it didn’t come with them. It’s a little pricey too. Not sure I would return. I feel like I ate a pound of salt.

We’ve been fans of this restaurant for years. The customer service when ordering ahead needs much improvement. We have always had good interactions however, the last few times the person answering the phone is often rude. Good customer service should be across the board, whether ordering in-house or online for delivery.

I stayed at the hotel for a week and decided to try the grubhub offer. Definitely fast delivery before dinner rush hit. Salad was fresh, though the Italian dressing was more like a vinaigrette. The stuffed shells were average and overpriced. Having a choice between the caramel apple pie and cheese cake… I should have chosen the pie. The cheese cake looked amazing but tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge/freezer for weeks. For $10 a slice, I’d expect something better. Maybe a different experience had I gone into the restaurant…. at least I could have asked about the food before ordering it.

If someone asks me, a born-and-raised LoCo resident, where they can find some good pizza in the area, La Villa Roma will always be my #1 answer.

Their traditional hot wings (extra crispy) are a MUST HAVE for special gatherings in my home. If you’re anyplace near Leesburg, this is the wing-lovers’ destination.

Every time I enjoy an exceptional pizza, this evening being one of them, I think back to this restaurant. I haven’t been there in decades, but I would often stop here for lunch. By lunch, I mean pizza! They had the most delicious NY style pizza I’ve possibly ever had. To this day, I judge all other pizzas by my memories of La Villa Roma, circa 1990. I’m happily surprised to see the same family still owns it.
