I ordered a veggie burger for takeout. I received a text message when it was ready.
It was in a simple aluminum take out container. The presentation for takeout is difficult, but to my surprise, it looked pretty good. It was a hearty burger. The lettuce crunchy, 2 slices of cheddar, and the onion and tomato tasted great. Buried underneath were pickles slices. My only complaint would have been more fries.
Overall, it was a great tasting veggie burger on a hot day!

Upstairs at the White Sands Oceanfront resort and spa is the exquisite La Vela Beach Cafe. This is not your average hotel breakfast, lunch and dinner spot. The soothing decor is blue like the Mediterranean Sea. The offerings are all crafted with fresh high quality ingredients and beautifully presented like a work of art. The chef was classicly trained in Florence, Italy and it shows. We loved the Linguini Fruitti Di Mare, chock full of seafood, so yummy! The La Vela Salad was fabulous. Our party of six enjoyed the Burrata Crostini, Tuna Tartar, Grilled Octopus, Calamari Fritti, the Margherita Pizza, and the La Vela Burger, all phenomenal. Leave room for the homemade pistachio Tiramisu and Cheesecake. Family friendly with amazing prices, La Vela is definitely your coastal haven for authentic Italian cuisine.

Breakfast was disgusting. The view was great, however the eating area was poorly cleaned, the table vinly cover was sticky and the floor was dirty, not even broomed. We walked in at opening time so there is no reason to be this filthy. Coffee was bitter and tasted like chemicals, pancake was partially raw and my daughter didnt want to eat it. I dont mind overpriced due to location, however the quality shouldnt be this subpar. Service was friendly but this was borderline unedible. This is a “never going back” kind of a place

This place shows and confirms that THE KITCHEN STAFF makes a place.
The place is nice and clean. The workers all look nice. BUT THE FOOD TOOK FOREVER. So what the owner should do is hire a REAL COOK AND PAY HIM WELL. This place has SO MUCH POTENTIAL. With the right cook this place can be turning tables every 40 minutes. Food is ok.
So what this place needs is a REAL COOK.

My husband and two children ate lunch here while on vacation in Point Pleasant Beach. Everyone absolutely loved their meals. My husband enjoyed his gnocchi (deliciously creamy sauce) and I loved my chicken panini with basil pesto. It was warm and Devine. My daughter ordered an off-menu spaghetti with traditional marinara sauce and she loved every ounce she ate (large serving). I definitely recommend this restaurant. The staff was super friendly and very on-top of everything. To top it off, the view of the ocean and summer breeze were wonderful and relaxing. Check this place out! Dare I say… so pleasant.

Went to Point Pleasant for a couple of days and had three meals at La Vela, each one was better than the next. All of the food we had was fresh and delicious, presentation was beautiful and the staff was great. Can’t wait to go back.
