You basically pick up a paper plate and fill it with anything displayed. They will then weigh it in the end and charge you by the weight. My plate that I shared was $18. Kinda expensive for what I had and for the quality of the food. Some of the highlights though was he garlic chicken leg and the garlic collard greens. Next time, I’ll just fill my plate with just those and their rice.
We tried both the beef and chicken empanada and was not impressed. It tasted like it was sitting under the heat lamp for a long time and we arrived first thing when they opened.
It is expensive $25 for lunch, and I think it is too expensive for a lunch in food court.
La Vaca is all about fast food, Brazilian style, with a focus on grilled meats. The interesting thing is that they sell the meat and buffet items by weight. If you load up on just meat, it’s gonna hit your wallet harder, but if you mix it up with some salad or veggies, you can actually save a few bucks.
When my wife and I went there, we wanted to try a variety of meats. Gotta be honest, the beef was kinda meh, nothing to write home about. But hey, the chicken was surprisingly good! It had this tasty marinade that made it pretty enjoyable.
Now, here’s the kicker. I got us this garlic and cheese bread, and man, it was dry as a desert. I didn’t care for it one bit. They definitely need to work on that part.
On the bright side, the staff at La Vaca Brazilian Grill were really nice. They were friendly and took good care of us, which made the whole experience more pleasant.
Overall, I gotta say that the food at La Vaca is a bit on the pricey side, considering what they offer. Yeah, you can save some money by loading up on veggies, but still, it’s not the best bang for your buck.
To wrap it up, La Vaca Brazilian Grill has potential, but it’s not quite there yet. The beef was bland, the garlic bread was a letdown, but the chicken and the friendly staff were highlights. If you’re looking for a quick fix of grilled meat, give it a shot, but don’t expect to be blown away.
Now, I really wish I’d like it but the sausage was way too spicy and not the Brazilian kind at all. I’ll come back to try more next time but a Brazilian without a Brazilian sausage can’t be 5 stars (for now)
The meat is very tender and delicious, and the hot sauce here is truly addictive.
You can easily pile on for a family of 4 in one tray and walk out only paying $35 bucks
