Social Profile:

Our local family oriented business began flourishing in August of 2005. It has since transformed itself into a destination that customers from all over have come to enjoy. Starting as a small tortilleria producing Arizona’s most delicious corn and flour tortillas, our business has grown into producing multi course fine meals to quick grab n’ go food items. Some of our most famous menu items include a variety of Molcajetes and Parrilladas. We offer a series of authentic Mexican inspired drinks like The Cadillac Margarita, a top-shelf 32oz refreshing margarita and the Cantarito. We hope to see you enjoying our authentic unique Mexican food here in Willcox and look forward to giving you a memorable dining experience!

I was on a trip to New Mexico and my friends and I decided to get some lunch. La Unica is a little off the beaten path but well worth it! My friend and I shared a molcajete. There was more than enough for us to eat. Enchiladas for the other two people. One red enchiladas plate and the other shrimp. First of all the tortilla chips are hands down some of the best house-made chips I’ve had! Maybe the best. The salsa they brought out was also delicious and fresh. Our food came out right away and was very hot and delicious. The staff was very kind and patient with us as we decided what we wanted to eat. I highly recommend eating here if you are ever in Wilcox or at least nearby.

Well established, this non descriptive restaurant serves up a hearty meal quickly. A great stop for a quick bite or fulfilling meal. Chips and salsa come with your meal. You can also order a kilo of tortillas to take home. We had a couple of tacos which were perfect for lunch.

Great food and his service and atmosphere. Giant margaritas for those who want one. It took 3 people to drink that one.

We very much enjoyed an early dinner here. Service was pleasant and attentive. Mescal margarita was a bit sweet but did justice to the smoky flavor of the mescal. Menu looks great with many classic Sonoran dishes and a lot of seafood – wish we could have tried them all. Instead we split the parrillada and fundido with chorizo and found it very filling and delicious. Salsa is very good. Homemade tortillas were perfect.

We were on our way home from a long road trip and needed a quick dinner. We called them and ordered over the phone for pick up. 30 min later, we pulled up in front, picked up our burritos and headed back towards I-10. The food was delicious, the service was spectacular, and they even threw in chips and salsa!

Came here to try their Mexican as I had seen the reviews were nothing but positive.
The entrance to the restaurant is located past the outdoor seating area. The little left handed entrance is a take out counter I believe.
It’s a seat yourself anywhere situation. There isn’t a lot of indoor seating but plenty outdoors.
The restaurant is clean and has what I imagine to be traditional Mexican decor and colours. The chairs are hand carved and it adds a little unique flare to the place.
They have quite an extensive menu on hand.
You get complimentary chips and salsa. The chips are fried tortilla chips which are super crispy and tasty. The salsa is so good. It’s not spicy at all and has a good handmade flavour.
I dined for one so I was unable to finish it all.
I ordered the carnitas a la pollo which came with fresh flour tortillas as my choice. The tortillas were in fact very fresh and warm. So decadent.
The chicken wasn’t what i expected. I had anticipated a shredded chicken with some crisp as this is what carnitas normally is. Instead it was chicken strips in a mex flavour with peppers and onions. It was still very good nonetheless. The guacamole was fresh. I don’t know how they make their rice but oh my goodness it’s the best damn mexi rice I’ve ever had to date.
Their beans are also pretty tasty.
Fountain drinks provide a generous serving and allow for one free refill.
The portion size was massive- I was able to take home left overs for lunch the following day.
Service was prompt and friendly- with a nice smile. She was very kind and polite.
The food took a bit of a wait but it was maybe 10-12 minutes- nothing major.
The restaurant was not busy when I went.
They also do take out.
It’s clean and well kept, though more dated.
Definitely recommend this location. If I wasn’t hitting the road today I’d have loved to return to try a burrito.
Great prices too!

Had a really authentic mexican lunch when passing through. The restaurant is lined with ns and blow ups. When you enter you walk through the patio. Area to a smaller enclosed section with inside tables and booths near the bar.

We were there at lunch time on Wednesday and were seated immediately. We sat in a booth near the bar. Only one server was working all the tables but server was still good.

For starters we ordered two mango margaritas. Very festive and good flavor. For the food i have to say the pictures of the food are missing a few bites, could not wait. We ordered the steak enchilada burrito. The sauce was delightful and was a well sized portion,as well as, a chile relleno combination. It was stuffed with cheese and egg and completely solved my hunger.

The outside seating area was larger than inside and had heaters. When we we there us was too cold to eat outside, no one did.

All in all highly recommend eating here. It is about 4 miles off the freeway on the business loop but totally worth it.

I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the Wilcox area. Good service and full sized portions. The chicken in my dish was moist and the food had authentic flavors. The chips were on the salty side..which is my only negative. I’ll stop by next time I’m in the area.

Food was ok. Glad to see a gluten free selection. Chair ripped up… Inside not a great atmosphere. But okay. Server was very nice. Service was good. But probably won’t be back. It just wasn’t a stand out place though I am glad for the gluten free selection. Like a 3.5 stars.
