Tamales! So delicious! When possible, I like to buy them by the dozens to take home and have between visits to Santa Paula. The staff is extremely friendly as well. The breakfast burrito is delicious and enough for two.

This place used to be a favorite of mine under the previous owner, and it’s really disappointing to see how much it has gone downhill since his passing. Since his son took over, the restaurant is frequently closed during posted hours, which makes it unreliable to visit. On the occasions when I do manage to catch it open, my order is often incorrect. I genuinely wanted to keep supporting this spot because of its history, but consistency and quality have noticeably declined.

First time here, so I tried multiple items, menudo was good, tamales de pureco was delicious the masa had good flavor also got the breakfast burrito de chorizo I added bacon to it and I was not disappointed! Will definitely return when in town.

The food is very good and tasty, the one bad thing is their food is expensive. But if you’ve never tried the food at LA Unica Bakery, it’s worth trying. But take about 45 bucks if you order 3 burritos. No kidding.
