I have to admit, I’m always looking for something very specific when it comes to my choice at a Mexican restaurant. The problem is I can never seem to find it the way I want it. Here it is — enchiladas. 1 cheese / 1 beef. It’s my thing, and apparently it’s La Unica’s thing too. Thank you for a great meal!

I’ve lived in manitou for 20 years and never went here. Went tonight. The food was meh. It was quite dark in there so difficult to read menu. Only people who don’t know Mexican food go here. I won’t be back.

The food and service were awesome. The chili verde con puerco was amazing. Some of the best I’ve had. Our waitress was super friendly and easy to talk to. Cool thing is I just picked this spot randomly. I would recommend this spot to everyone.

La Unica is our favorite Mexican restaurant, and it has become a regular go-to spot for my wife and me over the past few years. The location is humble, but once you walk through the door, you’re in for something truly special. The food is consistently outstanding—rich in flavor, freshly prepared, and made with obvious care.
We’ve enjoyed every single dish we’ve tried, but we especially love the pork chops and the enchilada-chile relleno special. No matter what we order, we’re never disappointed.
What truly makes La Unica unforgettable is the warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s a family-run restaurant, and the pride they take in their food and service shows. We were amazed when the owner remembered us after just one visit, and ever since, we’ve been treated like close friends. She makes everyone feel genuinely appreciated, like honored guests at her table.

We have visited here since opening. Used to be quite a bit better. Something has changed and not to the good. Mediocre food preparation like their watered down Mexican cocktail for $18.00. I have reviewed in the past with higher marks but not this time. Better Mexican restaurant options available. NO MAS AQUI!

Food just wasn’t good. Their “Queso” is Rico’s nacho cheese. Got two different kinds of meat and it was either sweet or tasteless , and their salsa was watered down??. We spent $48 dollars on mid tacos and Rico’s nacho cheese. Service was great
