The place came highly recommended by a friend however we were warned if it’s crowded that might be a chaos… indeed it was for our bad luck … we waited for our appetizer for 20 mins and for our main course it was 1 hr :29 mins after nearly leaving and heading out and obviously complaining, one of the waitresses ( they are not assigned so they’re running all over but she was the only one who was trying to help as much as she can. Her name is Luna and she was very nice and apologetic for the situation ) she called the manager came over apologized and within five minutes we got our food served my chicken parmigiana was absolutely stunning, my wife ordered veal Marcala came more as a room temperature rather than hot, taste great but definitely not hot, our appetizer the beef carpaccio not sure why but some parts were actually cooked so I think they rushed to defrost it.
Overall, food is good, but we came on a very busy day and definitely not advisable to go on a busy day.
If it wasn’t for Luna, I don’t think we would have stayed regardless.

First night back for weeks vacation and we couldn’t wait for the restaurant to open. First stop. Excellent ambiance, personable super professional staff and knowledgeable about their menu choices. We were a party of five and each enjoyed a delicious different choice. Chicken Parmesan was my daughter’s favorite (says best in the world), Lasagna was son’s choice, perfect ratio of pasta to meat sauce, lots of meat, and cheese. I had the best Gnocchi with Gorgonzola cheese thinly shaved special ham (excellent as it was like superior Procshitto), the white cream sauce was luscious, and my grandson selected Linguine Alfredo. We all had great desert.
Highly recommend this five star restaurant. When we departed the place filled up and very busy. I’m generally not a big fan of Italian but we will definitely try to get a second dining experience before our vacation ends. Ah have to mention the fresh Parmesan Wheel.

During our stay, we visited La Trattoria twice — and had two very different experiences.
The first time, we arrived straight from the airport without a reservation. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. We waited a very long time just to order drinks and food, and it genuinely felt like we had been forgotten. Other tables who arrived after us were served before we were, which was disappointing after a long travel day.
However, there was one big highlight: our youngest teenager said it was the best pizza he has ever had. And that says a lot.
Because of that pizza, we decided to give it another chance.
The second time, we made a reservation in advance — and the experience was completely different. Our waiter delivered a very high standard of service. Everything arrived in the right order and in good time. We felt seen, welcomed, and well taken care of. And once again, the pizza was absolutely delicious — this time everyone at the table got to enjoy it properly.
So while our first visit was frustrating, our second showed us what La Trattoria is truly capable of: excellent pizza paired with great service — when the organization works as it should.

I wasn’t sure what to expect choosing Italian in a place known for its French cuisine and seafood, but La Trattoria ended up being a fantastic surprise.
The Linguine à la Truffe, prepared in the Parmesan wheel and topped with fresh truffle, was rich, creamy, and full of flavor—definitely the star of the night. We also shared the ravioli, which was delicate and perfectly balanced, and a Caesar salad that was fresh and crisp with a great classic dressing.
The setting was relaxed but elegant, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. A lovely spot for a quality, no-fuss meal with excellent pasta and a nice atmosphere.

They offer only one vegan option on their menu, but it is totally worth the visit. Delicious vegetable gnocchi with mushrooms, zucchini, and eggplant. I hope they will introduce additional vegan dishes in the future. It would be awesome to have a pizza option with vegan cheese in it.

We ordered a margarita pizza to go. I asked for it “a little extra crispy” 2 minutes later, the pizza is brought out.. I said ” wow, that was fast” and the guy says ” someone else ordered it, but you’re here, so you get it first”. He says ” I’ll be right back and then he leaves. At that point, I look at the pizza and I say to my wife” this is too burnt, I can’t eat this”. I didn’t know where the dude went, but he was gone about 5 min. He went to get a tiny packet of red pepper. I tell him that the pizza is too burnt. He said ” You asked for it extra crispy” and I said ” Just a bit extra crispy”. He said ” I’ll make another”. We wait. Finally get it and he brings it to us with a credit card machine. I give him the card, he gives me the check and it says ” 17 Euros”. I said ” wait a sec, it was 13 Euros. He said ” Oh, I’ll reverse it”. He did that and then charged me 13. No apology, no explanation of why. He was basically giving himself a 4 Euro tip. Do they rip of French people or just Americans?

I am giving 3 stars because my wife ended up with food poisoning having cheese ravioli. I have to say, my clamp linguine was delicious. I would have not commented on here, but I heard from someone else about the food poisoning in one of these restaurants as of the next day. Yes, they did ruined part of our vacation, is just upsetting. We did not complain, but one of the waitresses over heard us twice from 2 different people and she was not concerned or feel bad about it.
Just a heads up, be peppered in case you get sick. Good luck.

La Trattoria and Bouchon are the same restaurant. We tried some starters from the Italian one. One of the starters was massive!! Not really possible for one person to eat, but good to share.
