Spent $25 on a margherita pizza and $9 on bruschetta for it be burnt to a crisp, the bruschetta to be half assed and also burnt to a crisp. Obviously had to eat it cause the whole order was $65. Didn’t even have half the stuff we ordered.
Very underwhelming, staff was very passive aggressive when I politely asked for a partial refund.. who charges someone $60 for “authentic Italian” and let’s a bunch of talentless “cooks” burn the food and call it good.
You guys should be ashamed doing this to good paying locals and not making your mistakes right. Pathetic you can’t even make it right and would rather just be snide.

I really don’t enjoy doing reviews like this, but everything went wrong this night. We have eaten here before and it was delicious at that time. However, I understand there was a different cook this night. I believe that was the whole problem. First, we ordered Garlic Cheese Bread. It took a good 20 minutes to get it and it was totally burnt on the bottom and around some of the edges. I was hungry so I did eat 3 pieces. My husband and sister only ate 1 piece each. Not much flavor with the burnt crust. Next, we got our salads. All Italian Garlic Salads which were very good. Next came the meals several minutes later. I got the Penne Alla Vodka with blackened chicken. The chicken was pretty burnt as you can see in the picture. The pasta was pretty tasty though. I would order it again. My sister got the Garlic Herb Roasted Salmon. She said it was pretty good. Would have been better with angel hair pasta, but turns out they were out of it and just didn’t mention it to her. Instead gave her regular spaghetti without asking what she would choose instead. Minor issue. My husband ordered Shrimp Scampi. We are aware that there is lemon in this dish. However, it should not overpower the garlic butter flavor. He couldn’t eat it. The waitress was very nice and asked if she could bring him something else. He declined at first, but decided to order a Burger after she kept insisting. He received his Burger. He lifted the top bun and toppings and guess what… no Burger. ♀️ That was the final straw. We were done for the evening. They didn’t charge us for anything so you might think I shouldn’t do this review, but I felt I needed to. I understand that the cook burnt 6 pizzas that night. Something is wrong if that’s happening. The waitress was very nice and apologetic. I plan to return there, but I’m hoping that cook is gone.

Great Italian spot in beautiful downtown Winchester! The server was extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations. I was slightly disappointed in the shrimp scampi, but it was still good. Their house salad was delightful. We enjoyed the ambiance and seating by the windows! Also, make sure to look in the men’s restroom

Thursday (5.23) we drove to Winchester specifically to eat at this restaurant for Beer Cheese Food Week. Unfortunately, we did not get to try their item. We sat down and waited 5 minutes before being greeted and having our drink order taken. We waited nearly another 10 minutes to get our drinks. The waitress asked for our order, and she stopped me mid-sentence. “I should have led with that. We ran out of dough. We only have 8-inch dough left.” Ultimately, we ended up just leaving and went to another restaurant participating in beer cheese week.
We did go back on Saturday for lunch and we regretted the decision. We ended up being there for nearly 2 hours. When we arrived there was only one waitress and one person cooking. While our waitress was very friendly and was moving as quickly as possible the lag time between, arriving, ordering, getting food, getting refills etc was frustrating. The food itself was just okay. The pizza crust was really good but the overall topping flavors were not the best. We couldn’t even taste the Buffalo sauce on the Buffalo pizza and the chicken was extremely dry. They were also out of a number of beers on tap. We won’t be back.

Authentic Italian food. Ordered takeout back to my Hotel but wished I had stayed to enjoy the funky downtown Winchester Christmas vibe. The Pizza here can hold its own vs. anywhere else you would role the dice to choose . Detailed prep evident on their Italian Side Salad, i.e. shaved parm cheese, fresh veggies including yellow bell peppers with superb dressing…wow. But most of all the sincere and welcoming staff. For an overnight stay on a drive from Maryland to NWA what a pleasant surprise.

Finally, a good Italian restaurant somewhere close! The service is quick and friendly, and the atmosphere isn’t overwhelmed with noise. The food was fantastic, especially on my side, but the Cuban sandwich was okay, the bread was very burnt. But other than that, we would go back.

Everything about this place was excellent, we had the Italian meat pizza and mozzarella sticks and it was very good. We will be back to try other foods. We look forward to sharing La Trattoria with our out of state family. 7/22/23 update I got the chicken fettuccine alfredo for the third time and I am convinced they have the best of anywhere I have ever been. Update 11/4/23 still the best chicken fettuccine alfredo around. Update 1/6/24 still the best chicken fettuccine, service is also amazing. Honestly I can’t find fault.

Lauren was absolutely amazing. She was very personable, very knowledgeable about the menu, and very patient. The food was delicious. She was very kind and thoughtful and helped us have an incredible time celebrating our mom and aunts birthday.

I will start by saying that my husband and I are new residents of Winchester. We saw LA Trattoria on the map and read reviews, and I even messaged them on FB to find out if they had GF options to accommodate my intolerance. To my surprise, they have pasta and pizza options. We decided to give it a tru and we were so glad we did. We both had pizza. The GF crust was the best crust I have had, ever. I also had a delicious margarita! We will be back. In fact, I won’t hesitate to order and pick up a GF pizza when I’m craving one.

Didn’t even know that this place existed until it popped up as a suggestion. This is a truly authentic Italian restaurant located in Winchester. The food was off the chain good, the servers were polite and attentive although they did seem a bit stretched thin. Would definitely recommend
