A delightful surprise! We were driving through Mamaroneck and had a hankering for Peruvian and found La Tia Rosa. No frills, clean, not to mention the delicious comfort food. Richie, the owner is super friendly and welcoming.
Turns out his mom opened this joint when he was a kid and he is carrying the torch. The food is fresh, authentic and generous! The aji verde is ️- just the way we like it!
Can’t wait to return- Richie is making lamb stew tomorrow!! Thanks for a great meal!

First time dropping by in this new Peruvian spot. I regret not trying a traditional Peruvian dish lol. I ordered a pork (Pernil) dish with chicken fried rice with some pigeon peas and a side of cold potato salad with some beets. I actually like the salad but not so much with the pork. It’s not that tender and the rice is kinda mushy. I will come back to try another legit Peruvian dish though. The strawberry daquiri slush drink was delicious . That was pretty much my desert. The service was good and I think the owner or chef not sure was the one who took the order. Very friendly atmosphere.

Date night with the Mrs. led us to finding this family owned Peruvian Restaurant in Mamaroneck. We were looking for Peruvian Chicken and find even more delicious food. It’s a cozy spot right across from the Red Line train in a cool neighborhood. They have incredible food options and the staff is super friendly. We got some delicious chicken but we also got some tasty steak! It’s a must try spot! The pricing is just right too!

We went to the restaurant because the good reviews, but i can say it was the food was half great & half no so great we waited a long time for the food the lomo saltado was very tough meat the jalea was really good . The waiter seems to be new she seems lost at times very small spot i like local businesses so i wont give it a 1 star ⭐️ food was a 3 because of the lomo was too tough but 5 on the jalea.. you be the judge.. good luck ..

We are traveling from Winnipeg, Canada, to Boston. Along the way, we have made a few stops and tried some authentic dishes and local specialties. Both of us were not very impressed until we came across one restaurant in Mamaroneck New York while making our way to Boston.
We LOVE it in almost every aspect:
– Customer Service: 100%
– Cleanliness, including the washroom: 100%
– Value for Money: 1000%. The servings are HUGE!
– Food Taste and Quality: 1000%.
We tried it because of the reviews, and even though we were a little hesitant since we’d never had Peruvian food before, we went anyway and we were both blown away by how delicious the dishes were. It’s unbelievable how good it is! Now, we will seek out some Peruvian dishes when we return to Canada. I am glad we tried it. Thank you for a very good 1st time experience. HiGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Made an unexpected stop in Mamaroneck, NY today and found this spot for lunch. After reading rave reviews La Tia Rosa did not disappoint! The service from the minute we walked in the door was superb, such a warm welcome from Ritchie! He answered all of our questions about the menu and is so excited to share everything about Peruvian food with his customers. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the short ribs, fried chicken and rotisserie chicken, salad, red beans, sweet plantains… everything was seasoned to perfection! Each bite was a delight to the tastebuds, we ate with such gusto!! Ritchie even gave us a sample of the soup of the day, shrimp soup…also a tastebud dazzler, there’s a magician in the kitchen! We will definitely be back.. often! Thank you for an incredible meal and overall experience, see you again soon!

Wonderful restaurant that specializes in Peruvian cuisine. The atmosphere is very relaxed, the food is absolutely outstanding. I had pollo a la brasa with chaufa, my wife had nice serving of jalea. I highly recommend them.

I’m Peruvian and am always looking for great Peruvian restaurants. This is THE ONE in Westchester! It’s a small business, the owner’s mom cooks in the kitchen, she cooks delicious food. They have nice portions and the home cooked meals take me back to childhood memories. If you dine in you’ll have a great experience as well. I hope this place doesn’t change, it’s perfect the way it is. You will not be disappointed!
