This is a small grill inside the Texas express convenience, store, behind the Shell gas pumps. They serve a few dishes, including tacos, sandwiches, and wings. They are not open all the time that the convenience story is though. There were a couple of tables inside, but they were just sitting with chairs piled on top of them, and one table outside. Don’t plan to eat here, if you wanna get something here, take it with you.

I read a review that said the tortas tasted like they were from a taqueria in East Austin and decided to give it a try. I wasn’t expecting to drive up to a gas station, but I also know gems are hidden in many places. I was not disappointed. I had the chicken (pollo) milenesa torta with a side of rice, and my son got the bacon cheeseburger. Homemade and delicious! Definitely worth taking a chance on!

In all honesty, one of the best Mexican food you can get in Austin (I guess technically Cedar Park).
My wife is latina so our Mexican food bar is pretty high. Everything we’ve tried at this place just absolutely SHINED.
For breakfast tacos, the staple bacon egg and potato is tried and true. Also can’t go wrong with their chrizo and eggs. My wife makes her own chorizo so if she likes it from here that’s a great compliment.
My “go to” are the barbacoa and the chicharrón tacos (also available for lunch). Just beware that both are VERY juicy and could soak through the paper bag while in transport.
The chicken flauta plate is amazing as well. Best flautas I’ve had. Comes with rice and beans, both of which were up to our standards.
Highly highly recommend if you’re in the area.

I ordered one beef fajita taco and it was good but it wasn’t $4 dollars good. Definitely over priced. I ordered one because i needed to try it first. The girl at the counter did not seem friendly. No tip. Tacos are not hard to make. $2 each would be more reasonable.

This food is amazing. You will not regret eating here. I got the torta de loca and by the gods it was delicious. I finished it before anyone else had even gotten half way done. Very filling, amazing flavors. I highly recommend.

Located at Texas express mart gas station. It’s the best gas station Mexican food I have tasted. On par with restaurant at fraction of the coat. Not much area to eat only few tables inside gas station but I alway only do take out anyways. Try them out you won’t regret it
