This afternoon my auntie and I had lunch at this fine establishment. Everything was 10/10. The aesthetic was very nice. I can not until the summer. This place has an abundance of outdoor seating and also a rooftop. The music played the whole time we were there. It wasn’t overwhelming. Just the right volume for me to dance in my seat and eat, which I did the whole time.
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted, sat with chips and salsa not far behind. Let’s talk about the chips and salsa for a second. Imagine eating warm tortilla chips with a hint of lime and salt accompanied with a hearty salsa. Authentic, fresh, seasoned salsa. It literally felt like I was on a Caribbean island… it was so good we got a second basket of chips before we finished the first. Oh! I also had the queso. It was good, I just wish it had a hint more of heat and the flavor profile came through a little more. I’d order it again.
They also make guacamole table side. I didn’t order that but I saw another table getting it.
Now it’s time to order, I ordered the Cali burrito with steak. My auntie ordered 2 tacos and rice.
The Cali burrito was 10/10. It was consistent throughout. The steak was tender and it was perfectly seasoned. It was so big, I couldn’t finish it. I ate about half.
The tacos were good and the rice was seasoned well. (Per aunties review)
Being this was my first time and although at this point I’m full, I still ordered dessert. Which is something I never do unless dessert comes with the meal but anyway, I ordered the churros. It was between the soapillias or the churros. I went out of my comfort zone getting the churros. I am so glad I did. I expected it to be kind of messy considering the cinnamon sugar… it was not. It was not too sweet, it came with fruit and strawberries… it was delicious.
I was so impressed by my visit today. The service was amazing which is important in the restaurant industry. It seemed like everyone that was there working, wanted to be there. Believe it or not , that makes all the difference. I will definitely be back with more of my friends.
La Terrazita absolutely blew us away! This is hands-down the best authentic Mexican food I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the service was five-star — not just one, but both servers checked on us throughout the meal, making sure we were always taken care of.
We started with the chips and salsa, and let me just say — the chips were surprisingly flavorful (yes, even the chips were seasoned to perfection!), and the salsa was fresh and delicious. We also had the queso, and it did not disappoint.
I ordered the Chicken Chimichanga, and my husband had the Fish Tacos, which he completely devoured. Everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor — so good, we ended up ordering extra food to take home.
And here’s the kicker: all that food, plus two beers, came out to under $100 — and we had leftovers!
La Terrazita is a hidden gem that deserves way more attention. They should absolutely advertise more because the food, service, and atmosphere are top-tier. Whether you’re local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and try this place. You’ll leave full, happy, and planning your next visit.
