Stepping into La Terraza Cubana feels like a quick escape to Cuba without leaving the city. The vibrant decor, lively salsa music, and the irresistible aroma of roasted pork and plantains instantly set the mood for an authentic Cuban feast.
We started with the classic tostones – perfectly crispy on the outside, tender inside, and served with a zesty mojo sauce that had us fighting over the last bite. The ropa vieja was melt-in-your-mouth tender, slow-cooked to perfection with peppers, onions, and a rich tomato base that sang with flavor. My partner’s lechon asado was juicy, citrusy, and fall-off-the-bone delicious – easily one of the best we’ve had outside Miami.
But the true star of the night? Our server, Elizabeth. From the moment she greeted us with a warm smile and spot-on recommendations (yes, the flan is a MUST), she made our experience unforgettable. Attentive without hovering, funny, and genuinely passionate about the food – she even shared a quick story about her abuela’s secret sofrito recipe. Elizabeth, ¡felicidades! You’re a gem and the heart of what makes La Terraza so special.
Whether you’re craving Cuban comfort food or just a fun night out, La Terraza Cubana delivers. We’ll be back soon – and we’ll definitely request Elizabeth’s section!

What a delicious find! I love Cuban food, and this spot is definitely the best Cuban restaurant I have ever been to! Our hostess/waitress Elizabeth was amazing. She made sure we had everything we needed and was so sweet! I went here with my dad, who got the branzino (a delicious and delicate white fish). I got the ropa vieja. Both dishes were outstanding! The chef running the kitchen really knows what she’s doing! If you have a chance to stop in for dinner, I would HIGHLY recommend it!

The food was outstanding. Elizabeth, our hostess and server, was fabulous. I had the branzino. A delicate fish, easy to mess up. It was perfectly done. Everything we had was excellent. Highly recommend.

La Terraza Cubana delivers on flavor and atmosphere. The avocado salad with chicken was outstanding—like chunky guacamole elevated into a full meal. Ham and cheese empanadas came out hot, crisp, and full of flavor. The Cuban sandwich looked and tasted like the real deal. My Pan Con Lechón sandwich was ok but smaller than expected, would prefer the Cuban next time for sure. Only quirk: dishes arrived in stages rather than together, which broke up the flow a bit. Still, a spot worth visiting for solid Cuban flavors by the beach.

Our server Elizabeth was super friendly and helpful. We had the Cuban sandwich and the Churrasco steak sandwich. Both Delicious. My friend had a mojito, which she enjoyed very much. Would definitely come back.

Food was very good after an hour and 45 mins when the entire meal came out. We ordered 3 cuban sandwiches and a ham and cheese. Every meal came out 10 mins apart so when we got to eat together all the meals where cold but the one that came out last. Was the worst service of 5 days on vaction.

We have been to the Mora Grill many times, and we had yet another excellent experience there. Outside tables were full when we arrived on a lovely Saturday evening, so we sat inside for a short period but the host Andreas moved us outside as soon as a table became available. We had Lamb Stuffed Grape Leaves as an appetizer, he had the Lamb Chops and I had a Greek Salad with the addition of Gyro. Everything was delicious!!!!! But the most delightful part of the evening was the dessert that Andreas suggested – Knafeh. We had never heard of it – a traditional Middle Eastern dessert made with cheese, pastry and syrup. My husband isn’t a huge cheese fan but was willing to try it. I know we will be going back again just to get the Knafeh!
(I will note that our bill was a little on the high side because of the lamb, but we were happy to pay it. We understand how difficult it is today for small restaurants to survive. There are plenty of options on this menu for the more budget conscious.)

The meat was bad quality. It was so thin and McDonald’s burgers meat is way bigger. I’m telling you it’s like so thin.

The first time we went for some mojitos since the margaritas from the restaurant next door were bad and we were served by the owner and his wife very friendly, we decided to try the food again, we ordered appetizer ceviche, sea and land and churros, we wanted lobster and what a shame that it was dry but very dry, it seems that they left it on the griddle to what the meat was made, it could not be eaten, we informed the waitress since she remembered us, but she did not want to change it, she told us that she was giving us a discount and when she brought the ticket that we asked her, she told us that for the next time, we will see when she comes back because apart from that everything was super good.
