Got there in the early afternoon, for Miami Spice 2022. The brunette long hair female manager & my server Vanessa & staff gave excellent service. I ordered Golden Beets, Mediterranean Roasted Chicken (half chicken breast & wing) with
sundried tomatoes, grilled artichokes, capers, wine-butter sauce, Crème Brûèe, & orange juice. I noticed a gentleman w/a friend by the middle window. One of them said Maricon (it means faggot in Spanish) several times in my direction. I couldn’t tell the difference if it was meant for me or just regular talk w/his buddy. Then he kept on staring at me various times. I gave him a serious stare down saying “What is your problem with me? I had to keep my composure. On my way to finalize payment. I said in Spanish “No soy Maricon” = I am not a faggot. Despite my brown skin, I happened to be North-Americanize. I will not let one bad experience ruin it for me. This visit is dedicated to my then German-American ex-gf. Cue in the song Let Me Go – Avril Lavigne With Chad Kroeger.
Update Miami Spice 2023. Good service from Todd and Georgina. I had Fugazzetta (Argentine pizza, my 1st time) Napoleon Key Lime cake, and Grilled Skirt Steak. 8/12/23 in the afternoon. I delivered a letter of good service & tip for Todd.
We asked for Coral Gable’s finest faucet water and were billed $18. We also ordered a bacon burger that ended up costing $58 as an order of bacon came with it. We were billed $36 for a 6 oz steak and eggs, but only got one egg. They need to fix it so it says EGG.
Having dined and ordered an excellent plate of Burrata, the Burrata Foccacia at $29 was a disappointment lacking taste of other restaurants and was a little runny.
The pancakes were very flavorful and priced at $24. The salmon Benedict priced at $32 was very good. The slice of chocolate Fiola cake was excellent though a little pricey at $36.
Drinks are made at the table mostly priced $20 or more. Considering tax and tip, a $20 drink comes to about $26. They are good drinks though.
As brunch appetizers they offer the CHOPPED SALAD (28), CUSCINO PANINO (27), GRILLED SHRIMP CAESAR (38), FIOLA MEATBALLS (28), PALETA CINCO JOTAS which are marinated olives (32). On the grill they offer the KING SALMON (44), 8 oz BRANZINO (48), 8 oz FILET MIGNON (62), and WAGYO NY STRIP (125). Their pasta runs from $32 to $65.
The jazz music is great plus for Sunday brunch.
Just a tragic misunderstanding of aesthetics, but easily corrected.
Great friendly stuff and nice atmosphere
Not pricey at all for such a great place in the Brickell
Definitely would come back when I’m in the area
