Once at our table, Dakota seamlessly took over, demonstrating an impressive command of the menu and guiding us with confidence. What stood out immediately was the pace. We were never rushed, a rarity in today’s dining scene, and were able to fully enjoy each course as it arrived.
The homemade bread was the perfect introduction, followed by appetizers that were nothing short of extraordinary. After a relaxed pause, our entrées were served, perfectly prepared and generously portioned. Just when we thought the evening couldn’t improve, the tiramisu arrived. It was easily the most melt-in-your-mouth version imaginable and the ideal ending to an already remarkable meal.
Overall, it was a cozy, refined, and thoroughly relaxing dining experience featuring some of the finest Italian cuisine available.
What the team didn’t know is that I grew up in a family that owned two Italian restaurants. Compliments from me are earned, not given lightly, and this establishment has unquestionably earned them.
I love La Tavola for its old school feel and reliable delicious dishes!! I had the Sicilian spritz and the Rigatoni Alla Vodka and they were both amazing. The waiter said the rigatoni is quite spicy with the chili oil, so I had it made without – it definitely still had a kick to it regardless, but was the perfect amount for someone who doesn’t like spicy. We came with a large party for a birthday and the wait staff sliced the cake and brought out slices for each person, it was perfect!
Love this place, can’t wait for my next visit!
We had the Calamari which was not fried but grilled with potato and that was AMAZING ! Star of the night.
We then tried the Rigatoni Alla Vodka and that was good but some of the pasta was a little undercooked. 7/10. We also had the Parsnip Ravioli and that was tasty and the brown butter blended well with the other flavors 9/10. Would definitely come back!!
In particular, I was disappointed by the seafood bucatini, which seems on paper to be perfectly designed, but was one of the driest pastas I’ve had in recent memory. My date enjoyed her tomato-based pasta.
However, the good service, stellar bread and oil, heirloom tomato preparations, and interesting tiramisu may be worth the trip.
We finally got a text for our seats around 8:35 PM, and our appetizer did not come out until around 10 PM. The waitress was inattentive, and the food was average. It is a shame because my boyfriend has come here before and had a good experience but that wasn’t the case this time. I have no interest in coming back.
