So, let me tell you about a little piece of Heaven ❣️
When you need a little break, head to Little Italy, Baltimore and stop at La Tavola, you will not be disappointed.
Their special bruschetta with homemade focaccia bread – marinated tomatoes, prosciutto, and pecorino Romano cheese with olives on the side, dinner was homemade pasta with clams and Sardinia caviar (the owner is from Sardinia, Italy), then finished with fresh strawberry panna cotta!
The food was absolutely delicious.
The bruschetta on homemade focaccia had a delightful mix of marinated tomatoes, salty prosciutto, pecorino Romano cheese, all sitting on soft and crispy bread.
The homemade pasta with clams and Sardinia caviar tasted fresh and flavorful, with the clams bringing a hint of the sea and the caviar adding a touch of luxury and authenticity.
Finally, the strawberry panna cotta was creamy and smooth, with the strawberries adding a bright, sweet finish to the meal.

The ambiance was comfortable and inviting. No one was sitting “close” to you, the brick gave an elegant, rustic feel. The staff made you feel welcomed. They were kind and attentive, never rushing you. There was no “hustle and bustle” – you were meant to enjoy and savor your meal!
Definitely a 5 out of 5!

The staff is incredibly friendly and well-versed in dietary restrictions… there’s no shortage of delicious gluten-free options!
Mark is the friendliest bartender , and Luca is a thoughtful owner who ensures every visit outshines the last.
A true neighborhood gem!
Once seated, we were given a prix fixe menu with five options. Our server was very kind and friendly, though she seemed a bit overwhelmed. The bigger issue was that it took over an hour just to figure out what we could order. Every 10 minutes, she would return to let us know that another item we selected was sold out. We tried ordering three different entrées — ravioli, fish, and steak — and each time were told they were no longer available. Eventually, we were handed the regular menu instead. By this point, it was after 10:00 PM and we still hadn’t successfully placed an order. At one point, we were also forgotten entirely.
When the food finally arrived, the spaghetti I ordered was cold. After the delays and menu changes, that was especially disappointing. For $160 for two entrées and a bottle of wine, the overall experience fell well short of expectations.
It wasn’t a disaster, but on a day like Valentine’s Day — when you make a reservation and expect a certain level of service — it felt like the restaurant came up short. The night wasn’t ruined, but this was easily the most disappointing part of our evening.
Spaghetti: You could tell from the slightly coarse texture of the spaghetti that it was freshly hand made and it well absorbed the flavor of the seafood broth. The fresh blue crab meat on the top also added a local twist to this transitional pasta dish.
Seafood medley: The seafood was paired with real lobster broth. The broth was so delicious that we had to get a second basket of bread (no bread left).
In addition to the taste of the dishes, the prices at this restaurant were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
The menu is simple but well executed food that showcase Sardinian and Italian cuisine. The pasta is all freshly made in house which you can taste. The spaghetti telagio and squid ink pastas may be my favorite but sometimes they do a mushroom papperdelle special that is a must-order as well. The burrata bruschetta has a phenomenal balsamic glaze that pairs perfectly with the blistered tomatoes. Last night we tried the frito misto which was also so delicious; it had zucchini in it which was super tender!
Until next time, cioa!
We hosted the welcome dinner for our wedding here in Little Italy, with over 90 guests, and it could not have been a better experience. From the very first planning conversation to the final toast, everything was absolutely flawless.
Luca was a total joy to work with — easily one of the most fun parts of wedding planning! He made the whole process effortless and full of personality. The team handled our large group with ease, and every single guest left happy, full, and raving about the food.
The kitchen did an outstanding job accommodating food allergies and dietary needs without sacrificing flavor or presentation. Every dish and drink was top-notch — you can taste the quality and care in every bite.
It was the perfect way to kick off our wedding celebrations in Baltimore. We’re so grateful to Luca and the team for giving us such a memorable, joy-filled night. Highly recommend for any special event (or honestly, any night you want amazing Italian food and great hospitality)! ❤️
I got the veal dish with vegetables and the gravy was way too salty. The potatoes were burned and the zucchini were undercooked. My MIL ordered the gnocchi. The sauce was weak and bitter. Out of the six entrees we ordered, there was only one of us who enjoyed the meal. Everyone else was sorely disappointed. We ordered two of the house specials and they were just bland.
To top it off, the server made a drink stating that the bartender was busy which was very different than what was previously ordered. When we mentioned our disappointment, his response was I added more vodka. So I guess thanks for giving us the drink that we did not order!
Anyway, this is another $300 mistake, I won’t be making. I am going to Olive Garden next time. Also, gratuity of 20% was already added. Wonder if that was because we were party of six or their norm.
