We enjoyed La Taverne in Rennes but did not have the same experience here.
5 of us arrived at 7pm on a Thursday and it was not busy.
The service was very slow, the food was not hot, we won’t be going back.

Large selection of food from different regions in France. The confi choucroute was very nice. The isle floattante was massive.

We stumbled on this place by accident. Finding somewhere to eat a decent meal in France after 12:30pm is difficult. At 15:00 hrs this place was almost full, but we did manage a table for two. A reasonable menu to choose from. I will look at this chain of restaurants again when travelling in France.

We arrived early on Friday 29 July 2022. This was to celebrate the sale of our house and to thank our friends. It all started to go wrong when we had to show the waiter the flies eating crumbs on our seats which he brushed off. I ordered a steak as I had not had one for a while and we shared a charcuterie starter. This arrived with no plates so we had to butter our bread on the tablecloth and eat off the tablecloth. We asked for water and eventually had to go to the bar and get our own. My steak arrived with frites which were dark brown and soggy obviously leftovers which had been reheated. I showed the waitress and all she said was would you like something else.I chose mashed potatoes which were ok. The steak had very thin almost tasteless pepper sauce and was not the best.
