Ended up here looking for a place to eat late at night that had gluten, soy and dairy free options for my friend. Apollo had gluten free penne that could be used with any of the sauces they had. My friend decided to get her gluten free pasta with white clam sauce and she seemed to be satisfied.
As for me I got the eggplant parmigiana that came with a side pasta and soup or salad. Portions were generous and I had enough for lunch the next day. Eggplant parmigiana was executed well with thin sliced, breadcrumb coated eggplant that was properly fried, coated with a mild marinara sauce and topped with melted cheese. Side pasta was overcooked. The red sauce was standard. The size of the plate made it difficult to mix the sauce and pasta without spilling some off of the plate.
Had a sip of another friend’s Bloody Mary that was decent and was spicer than others I tried. She also offered to try some of her baked clams that had a nice blend of breadcrumbs, clams and spices. I didn’t get to try the buffalo burger. My friend seemed to be ok with it but not thrilled either.
Service was average. The bathroom was clean but the major issue was the temperature inside which was at least 15 degrees colder than the rest of the restaurant.
Not sure why that was the case.

This is simply a matter of taste….the coffee was watery, I had an omelet which was ok, but the home fries were no good and the toast was cold ( butter didn’t melt on it). They have specials which included coffee and juice for $4 above the normal price. I did not order juice, but getting coffee put me into that category. I LOVE diners, they are my guilty pleasure, but I would not come here.

It was my first time on Long Island I wanted to eat they were close to my hotel so I tried them out the buffalo chicken salad was so delicious I returned to try the Waldorf salad both I paired with the delicious balsamic dressing. Nice big salad great sizes on the meat I’m a guy fill me up especially if I chose healthy. I was so smitten this diner has bar you have no idea. They staff was very friendly and super accommodating & there is ample parking.

Excellent food and service.Friendly staff with large portions of fresh food served daily. Ample parking. Seating at booths is Excellent. I highly recommend this diner to others.

Food and service was great! And the food came out quickly too. Me and my boyfriend were out of there in under 40 mins. Food portions were great as well.
Unfortunately I didn’t get the waitresses name but she was an older petite lady w. Glasses and a ponytail. She greeted us with a warm smile and checked up on us constantly. Thanks for the amazing breakfast Apollo diner!

I have been coming here for years pre-COVID. Prices have gone up but that’s the economy. They have been reliable and consistent with quality. I came here for the first time in a while and had brunch. Service was quick and all staff were very friendly. Place looks clean and their menus are neat and up to date. It is a good location at a busy intersection near lots of other places to shop and plenty of parking.
