Always a good experience at this restaurant. We frequently take visitors here. We had the trout, Quiche de Lulu and the Farandole (as assortment of stuff). All were delicious. Total was around 25 euros each (no wine). Staff friendly. It got cloudy and windy and staff offered blanket coverings if we were cold.

Great views and nice breeze. Don’t come for the food. it’s ok, but there’s nothing to speak about. The service was a bit rude. They took some food off before we finished and really tried to rush us.

The exterior table view is phenomenal. All the dishes were of huge quantity compared to a typical French restaurant. The lamb and sirloin steak were of good quality. A great stop point while visiting the historical Gourdon village. Don’t forget to reserve beforehand.

Charming restaurant with a magnificent view. The beef tartare I ordered was excellently prepared, and the quality of the beef was top-notch. The fries were well-made, with a crisp exterior, flavorful seasoning, and a smooth interior. The salad was classic but could benefit from some improvement. The service was pleasant.
Would could back to sample more of their menu and enjoy the mesmerising view that Gourdon village has to offer.

The best restaurant location in this tiny little gem of a village, perched high above the deep valley below. Make sure you call ahead to ensure you get one of the tables near the terrace edge – ensuring unparalleled views.
Service is good – not overall friendly, but the food is fantastic. The bread is some of the best we’ve had, the melon/ prosciutto excellent, beautiful salad niçoise. Dessert is equally good; tart of the day is a large portion and excellent. Beautiful chocolate mousse too. Glorious location- that’s what you come here for!

Delicious lunch! The Filet de Daurade Royale with lemon butter sauce and crushed potato ratatouille was perfectly cooked. Stunning mountain view and great service. Book ahead – it gets busy!

I don’t write a lot of reviews – I only feel the need to when I’ve had a truly incredible experience, and La Taverne Provencale definitely meets this criteria. The staff were so friendly, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was unmatched. Definitely recommend!

We have been on a canyoning tour with our kids and after we spent our lunch in Guordon. We loved this place, the only thing was strange that almost everybody was over 60 years old, in all the village. It is a breathtaking village, never seen something like that! From the restaurant you have a great view! You must have this experience, drinking rose and watching the Cot dAzur

We had a very pleasant lunch looking out over the canyon. Every dish we had was delicious, and the view surpasses most places you will find. I would highly recommend the house special coq au vin, steak, or fish.
