Don’t let the rough exterior deter you from stopping, the food is excellent very well made authentic flavors. The meat was very tender, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. We had the carne asada quesadilla, barbacoa and lingua tacos, rice and beans. The homemade red salsa is very spicy , the salsa Verde is mild citrusy and light. Highly recommend a stop. Fair prices, kind service.

I ordered a super carne asada burrito, but the server brought a regular burrito instead. The meat was full of fat and bone pieces, with a very unpleasant taste. The chips were completely bland, and their seasoning is extremely spicy to the point of overpowering the food. Very disappointing experience and I won’t be coming back.

My sister and I visited La Taqueria on September 7….I wanted to try their food….I will never go back there again…. Spanish rice was so hard and bland….the beans(how can you go wrong with cooking beans) were watered down and bland…Chile Verde….no taste……I was so so disappointeded….and my sisters plate..the same thing….I can’t believe I wasted my money there…..I gotta be honest….sorry

Stopped by for lunch on the drive down from the Bay to LA. Food was excellent, service was super quick, and the price is great. There’s an ev charger and gas stations right nearby, and by every measure this spot is better than the nearby fast food. The chicken and steak burritos were excellent!

Stopped in Kettlemen City during our drive home from Pismo to gas up and grab a bite, ran into this place. The food was great, it had an authentic hole in the wall vibe inside. My wife and I shared a bacon breakfast burrito and 2 chorizo tacos. Prices were very reasonable, we’ll definitely try it again on our next trip.

Fantastic place to get food when you’re driving down the 5. I’ve been hitting up all the Mexican places on the 5 from the bay to LA- most taquerias and trucks I’ve tried are way too salty but not this place. You can actually taste flavors besides salt! There are way too many bleak fast food and other shit options on the 5 and it’s nice to know that there are gems like this
