This place has so much potential, but unfortunately for us the food was very poor.
We deep fried wontons were still frozen cold inside. And the rest of the food was just cooked and seasoned badly. The venison was so tough.
It’s such a shame as the venue itself is lovely and the staff there are very nice and attentive.

We absolutely loved this restaurant.
I ordered the King prawn mascarpone risotto and it was the best meal I had in a while.
The food is delicious and the service is outstanding. Staff is well trained and kind.
We also enjoyed the atmosphere with a view of the museum and nice background songs.
Must visit restaurant in Mauritius!

The Labourdonnais estate has been home to the Wiehe family for over 150 years. Established in 1856, it underwent extensive renovations in 2006, preserving its elegant 19th-century colonial architecture. After touring the estate, visitors can stroll through its lovely gardens and historic orchard. In addition to preserving native plants, the estate also boasts over 50 varieties of century-old mango trees, spices, and a variety of tropical fruit trees.

It was the best restaurant of our 2 weeks holidays. Went there 3 times, one for lunch, twice for dinner. The tasting menus are rivalling Michelin-starred restaurants and the service was impeccable.

Very classy and comfortable setting. Not too many tables. And of course there’s the amazing view of the castle while dining. We’ve been there several times before and i think the quality of the food has improved every time. Food was excellent. We had the lobster bisque, foie gras and Caesar salad as starters. Then we had the legine fillet and prawns on risotto. Service is great. Thanks to Arthy who was amazing all throughout and even helped us take care of the baby !

In the middle of the Labourdonnais chateau garden, the atmosphere is great. Food and service are ok, this place is a bit pricey but I guess it’s just like everything else in the island. If you’re visiting the chateau and are super hungry and out of snacks then yes, get a table and have lunch at La table du Chateau…

Nice view of the “chateau” but might be better to go during the day. Not much to see at night. During the day there is also open viewing of the building so you can visit inside. You can also book 4 course meals on marideal for an affordable fine dining experience. Food is tasty, sophisticated, colourful and service is very good. Waiters are attentive and provide all amenities etc. Overall good experience.

Everything was on point
We came for lunch.
The only thing we would suggest is a bit more of a chill vibe music, would be better than disco music.
Our poached egg was slightly overdone.
But all the food was next level and the service is amazing!!!
For dessert, the banana Zanzli is to die for!!

We went there to celebrate a birthday and spent an excellent evening.
We were given a warm welcome and the staff was very attentive to all our demands, even taking the time to explain about how the fruit in the sorbet is good for health and is actually grown in their orchard.
The food was oh-so-delicious! We savoured every bite, especially the lamb! Special thanks to the amazing chef!
We were also given a complimentary birthday cake and it was really very considerate on their part.
All in all, we were completely mesmerised and now have sweet memories to cherish. We will be back!
