We had a great experience here during our recent visit to Payson. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. When we arrived, the place was pretty empty, but it started getting busy shortly after. The staffs were friendly. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would happily come back again

Our family loves stopping here anytime we drive through town. The colorful artistry everywhere you look just makes me feel happy. The staff is very friendly, and the food is awesome. I appreciate very much that their spicy salsa is actually spicy! My daughter is obsessed with the taco salad and I like the veggie fajitas. Highly recommend for anyone looking to step away from the typical chain restaurants!

What a super colorful, quaint place! The atmosphere was great and the food was very good. The complimentary chips and salsa were excellent! The service was good and the meals priced well. This was my first time eating here and I would definitely return when back in town!

Pretty good food, pretty good prices, typical portions, service was slow but they were busy (11:30AM). Chips were average, salsa was good. Four stars. Parking can be an issue for larger vehicles though because La Sierra is located in a strip mall next to several other businesses, so you might have to park quite a ways from the entrance. This would not be recommended for people in wheelchairs or people who cannot walk far. There are also only two handicapped parking spots out front and I counted 16 regular parking spaces (unless you park down the block in front of other businesses). Do yourself a favor and look at the Google Maps Satellite view and check out the parking area before going, if you have issues walking.
We had the Mexican Pizza and an Enchilada Plate. The Mexican Pizza was generously topped and came out hot with a good balance of cheese, meat, and sauce. It was filling without being overly greasy, which I appreciated. The Enchilada Plate was solid as well—good flavor, traditional presentation, and satisfying portions of rice and beans on the side. Nothing overly fancy, but dependable and well-prepared.
Overall, it’s a reliable local spot with fair pricing and decent food. Just plan ahead for parking, especially during peak lunch hours, and you’ll likely have a positive experience.

We were seated fast for family of 4. Food came pretty fast but when we requested for more tortilla chips, the waitress said okay but never came back, she may be busy on Friday night but she did not stopped by to check on our table until we were all done and she came by to give us the check and we reminded her about the tortilla chips that we requested at the start of dinner, then she brought us some.

I stopped in here during a work trip, just me and my service dog, Oren. It’s a cute place with colorful decor. The service was great. The staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was good. Oren had space to lay down under the booth’s bench.
They gave me chips and salsa after I ordered, and the salsa came in a little carafe with a bowl to pour it into. That was super cute, and I didn’t need to ask for a refill. I ordered a combo plate with a chicken taco and pork tamale. It came with beans and rice. It was all super yummy. I will definitely stop by here again when I’m up in Payson.

IT’S A MUST IF YOU’RE IN PAYSON, ARIZONA! This is our second night in a row eating here. Ruby, our server is the best. Everyone is so nice, the restaurant is clean and colorful, the food is amazing and the jalapeño margaritas are the best I’ve ever had!

Absolutely delicious.
The salsa was amazing and had such good heat and flavor.
I ordered the combination plate with a chili rellano and shredded beef burrito. I was not disappointed.
My son ordered a cheeseburger which he loved. My daughter ordered the tamale and taco plate, and she said the tamale was one of the best. The ground beef taco wasnt that good according to her, but she still loved her food.
My husband ordered the shredded burrito and enchilada plate and ate every bite.
The shredded burrito I definitely recommend, as well as the chili rellano. It was a bit soggy with grease so not as crispy as id have liked but it did not affect flavor. Lots of cheese and was absolutely delicious.
If I’m ever back in this area I will come here to eat again.

I had high hopes for this place based on other reviews, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The food was underwhelming, and the server lacked attention to detail, bringing multiple incorrect items. The wait time was excessively long, even though the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy. The team members weren’t friendly and seemed like they didn’t enjoy their jobs. The margaritas were a disaster—our server admitted they were made with too much flavor, but the replacements were still off. When we asked for them to be taken off the bill, management reacted poorly. For the quality of food and service, it wasn’t good value for the money. We will not be back after how we were treated. Overall, not a great experience.

I had green chili pork. It was exceptional. Hubby had a beef burrito and he loved it. Great proportions and hot when they came to the table. The waitress and servers were very friendly. I’d recommend this place hands down!
