This is my first time coming here and the place is awful. The food is bland, and over priced!!! The breakfast chorrzio and the carne asada burrito small and not good. My daughter had couple of egg shells on the food and the carne asada didn’t have no Pico de gallo it was something else with the lettuce inside. I ordered some enchiladas for myself and Oh my it was disgusting. I make better enchiladas then this .

My Dad and I visited Sunday morning. He used to bring me here when I was a little girl. I’m 60 now and he 83. The service was great. The food so tasty . Told my Dad, I can tell they cook with good oil. Nothing was greasy. Everything was fresh. Loved it. Everyone was so nice ! Place was clean.

its not a cafe, its taco shop. atleast thats what it tastes like. same flavor. not home made. and the worst is they dont have a sign that says only cash asepted. thats because they have their own atm and you are forced to withdraw and pay a fee. so they make money on the food and they make money on the atm. not coming back.

Cony is an institution in National City. The service at the place is friendly, kind and very patience, my wife and I loved getting to meet Grace she did an awesome job as it waitress, had evening ready and ordered very fast for us. Cony’s food brought me back to my childhood when I lived with my grandparents. The smells of the food, the looks of the food, the taste . All of it was just amazing. The Chile rellenos with tomato sauce, the way that the Chile was bathed and put onto the egg batter just made the Chile relleno taste and look perfect. A piece of that chile relleno inside of your tortilla, the tomato sauce just falls out of the taco making it a perfect combination. The cheese melted inside the Chile relleno and when you cut on it just melts on your fork and mouth…… The moment I cut into the Chile relleno I was transported to my Abue’s cocina when I was a kid. The enchilada roja with cheese was just perfect! You can taste the time they invest to create the magic on the red sauce. It is just right not too spicy not too salty, just the right balance between tortilla, queso and salsa. Just to made to perfection. The hard taco with shredded beef, potato, fresh lettuce and tomatoes was yummy. The tortilla was deep fried to make it just ready to carry the ingredients and give it a great bite. My wife and I are coming back and we are definitely bringing our family. Evening was amazing, Cony has an amazing story behind the creation of this beautiful place, She knows all her clients, she takes the time to welcome them and she is so sweet, kind and humble. She reminded me at my grandma’s and my Tias. This was such a walk in memory lane. By the way she has an amazing caldo de res, y caldo de pollo, pozole, menudo and so much more. Check the schedule before you go. Enjoy y provecho!

I’ve been coming here for years, but today was the worst. While waiting to be helped, the owner’s daughter caughed right in her hand, then got the utensils for someone’s order and gave them to the customers. After 15 min of waiting, I was finally helped. I asked for 3 large menudos white, they forgot to give me the vegetables good thing I was still in the parking lot went to ask for it and the waitress and owner questioned me twice are you sure you didn’t get it. If I would’ve had gotten it, I wouldn’t have gone back. I asked for extra salsa, and the owner said you already have 3, I asked her again if I could get 2 more, and with an attitude she gave them to me. I got home, and the container where they served was a lil over halfway only TERRIBLE SERVICE.

Gross!!! No flavor at all. Shredded beef tacos hardly any beef. Beef is like its been soaking in water or left over from the nights before. $50.84 and we barley ate 20% of the food. Basily just came to get dog food for the day.

The food is not as good anymore
Today, my menudo had a weird smell, and I didn’t even finish it. My sister said no cheese on her food, and they still put cheese, and we asked for several items on the menu, and they said they are out even the fountain drinks . Hopefully, it’s not like this next time or will definitely not be back.

Outdoor seating area, but if you want your menudo to go you can always bring your own soup pot and order big amounts.
