I do not give five out of five stars lightly. Authentic street tacos are my favorite food.Over the past four months this has become my go to spot on Mondays for lunch tacos. The Al Pastor tacos are simply amazing. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is really cool. Not cool like hipster cool but no frills. I’m here for the food not an art show. I have tried every taco they make, and every single one has been simply delicious. I have had dry tacos and other places where you had to add sauce because they were so bad. Here, the sauce enhances the taco, but is not necessary. I have also tried other menu items here. Notably the Menudo is delicious. It’s interesting because they do not put harmony in it. I’ve had it in other places, but this is definitely in the top three Menudo spots that I’ve had. The prices are reasonable as well. I love this place.

If you’re looking for a great lunch spot, this is it! The food is excellent and the portions are generous. The steak burrito is huge and the meat is perfectly tender, and you can’t go wrong with their half chicken. La Salsa, Pollo Los Gallos and Los Corrales all Jalisco Mexico style Smoked Chicken exactly the same as the place that’s been paying to promote for a decade. A Whole Chicken Dinner for 2 only $18 n change, Charro Beans, Rice and Tortillas marvelous MEGA DEAL. We’ve been customers since opening a couple decades ago, corner of Schaefer and Oakwood. Got the special Mega double Meat Tacos on the menu, Birra and Carnitas outstanding, only 12 Bucks for four that feeds 2 hungry folks OMG. Looking out the back of Marathon Refinery on border of Melvidale. Such delicious Authentic Mexican food family owned and run. Many Mexican Families stop daily for Mexican Breakfast ,Lunch and Dinner from the homeland. Truly a hidden Gem in Sw Detroit never ever mentioned by any media outlet, they only promote a few places that pay them or Foodies to post around the web. I used to go to a single place to celebrate all Taco Tuesdays… But I ended up here because of a friend’s recommendation.
And yeah… Definitely a pretty good experience here. Attention is excellent, there is a wide variety of food to try. I totally recommend asada and carnitas tacos. Horchata water is also a must try.

All I can say is well! Couldn’t make up my mind where to eat, knew I wanted some really authentic and delicious Mexican food, so this was what I picked. I was not disappointment. The order placing went fast and easy, when I arrive my takeout I was already to go. The counter service was wonderful. It’s very small and kind of out-of-the-way, but the food was great. Got the chicken and beef nachos, which really filled me up. So I had the chicken and steak tacos for breakfast. I will be back, almost went back again today. This place is a winner.

This is our new favorite place!! Authentic Mexican food! We watched the review from Detroit Food Review on YouTube and had to try it. My husband got the pork torta and I got a lil variety tacos. Everything was delicious and definitely had leftovers. The staff was courteous and friendly.
