From the moment you walk in, you feel the heart of the place. You can walk right up and see the food right in front of you. Nothing hidden. Nothing rushed. Just real cooking. I ordered the gorditas and went with rajas con queso plus a couple of other meats. Every single bite tasted authentic. Deep flavor. Perfect seasoning. Comfort food done right. I also had a bowl of menudo, and it was excellent. Rich broth. Clean flavor. Cooked right. The kind of menudo that tastes like someone took their time and did it the proper way. The tortillas deserve their own praise. Fresh, homemade corn tortillas. Soft. Warm. Full of flavor. They were so good I rolled a few up with a little salt and ate them plain. That’s how good they were. I even grabbed a dozen to take home.

Clean and cheery interior greeted us just before the friendly chefs – we tried 3 gorditas (beef, chicken, pork) served with with rice and beans. All excellent! Condiments were brought to our table and staff checked on us after we had time to sample everything. Stopped on a road trip and would plan a stop here in the future!
