Wow! What a pleasant surprised.. All the food was great. Service was wonderful. The place could use some updating, maybe a little remodeling to change out the dates atmosphere. But otherwise, we’ll be going back.

They closed early. 7:20pm I’m here , 2 cars in the parking lot, and they have the front door deadbolted. Server made sure to NOT make eye contact while I’m looking at the deadbolted door.
I like the place, but a business needs to have dependable hours .

I’ve been hearing about this place for some time. The restaurant is known for its seafood and entertainment.

I ordered the jumbo shrimp and it came on a bed of rice and with a side salad. We also ordered shrimp and octopus tacos. Which were a tad spicy but delicious none the less.

I also ordered a michelada (mix of beer and a bloody Mary) and it was pretty good. On our visit they had a live band playing classic and modern Mexican songs.

Overall a must-try eatery. They have more than just seafood, they have steaks and some delicious desserts.

As I travel, I like to ask the locals about their favorite hometown places. La Resaca was clean, the young woman servers were friendly, the food I saw pass by me to other people looked amazing! The food is mouthwatering and plentiful!

Not worth it
Service is good.
Live Music is good

The Prices are way over inflated for what you get. It may look pretty but there was hardly any shrimp in my Pineapple Shrimp Civeche.

The Burrito had no shrimp in and tasted only like Pulpo. Overpowering to say the least.

Guacamole was good (hard to mess up) but over all Very Expensive for what you get.

Won’t come back.
I’d rather have street Mariscos in TJ.

No Amount of Atmosphere, Music, and Presentation can make up for a lack of Shrimp in the meal with exaggerated prices!

As a former Sous Chef who has lived in Mexico for 10 years, I’m telling you the truth. It is what it is.

If you got the Money, enjoy. I have it, Just not worth it.

Service and chelada definitely have 5 star rating. Mariscos were meh alright, better local options. Bathroom was dirty and they weren’t really busy, seemed staffed well enough.
