Stopped by for dinner and drinks, looking for a place with TVs to watch a game. This place fit the bill and parking was plentiful. Food was good, margarita, not so much. Food wise, we split the molcajete La Quinta which had chicken, shrimp, steak, nopales and few other items. Plenty for two people. Beans were a bit dry, but both rice and beans were tasty. The La Quinta margarita was not my favorite flavor wise. It wasn’t strong, just didn’t like the taste. Salsas and tortillas were both really good and service decent. Happy we stopped by, but really could be great if they tried a little harder. So many great Mexican restaurants around, didn’t really stand out for me.

Wonderful Restaurant! I was very impressed they served Us a spicy salsa. I always have to request it and most lacked. Its staff very profesional friendly. Margaritas were Super! The food was excellent. I have nothing but great compliments for this nice place. Thank you. Will definetely go back. ***I live in OC there is not one place with food as good as yours(*near Santa Ana) that says a lot of La Raza that resides in this area)always fighting for a good salsa. Suggestion tho…Please try to have someone else make the Orchata. It was just plain sugar. No texture. Thank you again for such a great service

Waitress Tania very unprofessional and provided bad service. Made myself and mother feel very uncomfortable after I provided my card to pay. Tania’s approached the table with the receipt for me to sign, it’s what she immediately said and the way she said it that upset me. Tania was also so unprofessional sharing to others that I was complaining about her making my mother and I feel humiliated and uncomfortable. After today’s experience with Tania. Today was our last time going to La Quinta Grill to avoid any more embarrassments and bad service. The best staff that always provided the best service is Mr. Alberto whom is one of the supervisors or manager and also one waitress I believe her name is Suzy. Our last few experiences other waitresses don’t provide good service. The food is great but lately customer service has been bad. Alberto and one of the waitresses that is known for great service are the best. Thank you Mr. Alberto for always being so kind, respectful, great customer service and most of all always making us feel welcoming.. Tania. Fir the seventeen years you said you’ve been working there, it’s a shame how you were very unprofessional. Bad service makes long term customers not want to go back.. wish you all the best either way.

Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the setting. I ordered a grilled chicken breast served with rice, mashed beans, guacamole, and a corn tortilla. The chicken was the main disappointment: very dry, seemingly not pre-marinated or properly seasoned, and honestly difficult to eat. It lacked even basic flavor or moisture.
The guacamole was the highlight of the plate—fresh and well prepared. The remaining sides were acceptable but uninspired; edible, yet lacking taste or character.
Overall, while the restaurant excels in design and ambiance, the food quality—at least in this case—was average at best and fell well short of expectations.

Keep it Successful
Ordered the Molcajete. EVERYTHING WAS COLD AND OLD!! The food is old. It did NOT come out Sizzling!!! Barely any juice. The rice has a texture like it was a couple days old. The meat came out cold WHICH IS WEIRD. Was given barely any avocado but the server brought more after I had asked. I ordered the tamarindo margarita and it looked nothing like the picture. Barely any chicken was included in the meal. My son had the kid’s sprite, and they brought it in a coffee cup. Nothing stood out but the salsa they bring in the beginning. Don’t waste your money here. The busser lady did most of the work, attending to us 90% of the time including bringing the food and asking what else we needed and taking care of us til the end. The server deserved 10% of the tip as he wasn’t even the one who asked for our order. He was MIA. There was a reason it was dead late Friday afternoon, and if anything, seemed as if this is the place men take their mistresses when they don’t like them. P.s. the glass was broken and noticed after I drank more of it for those who care.

We’ve been here twice this month, both times because there was no wait time for a table and it was a Saturday morning. The food is decent and has a variety to choose from including an American style breakfast with pancakes. Service was ok on the first visit and not so much on the second one. I guess service is hit or miss depending on who you get. Had to wait for awhile the second time for our bill. There were some simple errors in our orders like sunny side up eggs instead of over medium, Breakfast potatoes instead of fries, also found it odd to have a spinach omelette with the raw spinach on top instead of mixed in with the cheese, but it was still good. Atmosphere is loud and kinda dark but not bad. Just prefer servers to be a bit friendlier and attentive. They have live Mariachi on Sundays and they are wonderful great music to go with breakfast or lunch!
